If mine was it certainly wasn't my intention. She still has a figure 99% of people would kill to have. It's just a question of her readiness to be able to pull off demanding programs with quality jumps. I really think Boston changed something in her more than anything. She hasn't been the same since. And I don't know what her plans are about sticking around after PC. But really, if she really wants it she has all the talent in the world to make it happen for herself and get back on the team. She's just a big ?????? for now, so I'll leave her there and cross my fingers without holding my breath. I'm from DC. I love visiting Cali though. All Michigan has for me is an airport that I'd use to connect to another airport to get outta there. I connected there on my way to Japan/Singapore in January and the scenery just doesn't speak to me. I mean, Gracie is from Mass, so I think she is used to the winters but still. At least the airport is nice?

I told you they had video of her performing and a double flip looked labored. My friend and I have concluded that she is definitely depressed and we don't think her current training location helps matters. I mean...from Cali to Michigan? Leaving your sister who you depended on for a lot? I mean, that'd depress anybody, ESPECIALLY someone like Gracie.

They're both wonderful live in their own ways for me. I couldn't take my eyes off either one of them and didn't get bored for a second. I found Yuzu's cool down during warm up on the first day amazing, and that was AFTER all the jumps he was putting out there. Just lovely skating skills. I found myself leaning in a bit closer in my seat when they skated their programs, because, ya know, just a few extra inches closer makes so much difference :grin: . It added to the intensity. If I could have stood and watched them by the boards, I would have. Some skaters were more boring than I expected, even among the top guys.

Unless you're Brian Boitano, I don't like the look of Tanos. Rippons look better for me, but it also depends on who is doing it.

His SPs are my favorite. Since I can only choose one I'll go with PW because that is how I discovered Yuzu so it will always have a special place to me for that reason. SP 1) PW 2) LGC - long live Prince 3) Chopin - it was amazing but it had to grow on me LP 1) Seimei 2) R&J 1 3) H&L 4) POTO

I'm not sure what Japan's plan is beyond Yuzu and Shoma. I feel like they are pretty set with their ladies with a deep field. But if they don't have a good set of men, all is surely lost.

I think he's back after Sochi at all because he wants another shot at gold. Now or never. I'd go for it personally. I already have an individual silver so if it can't get any better, I might as well give it everything. That's why I also fully expect every jump Nate can do to be in his program. Go big or go home.

I also have team tickets, so the more chances to see Yuzu the better. The team event served him well. I think he skated better in the single event than he did in the team event because it gave him a chance to get comfortable with the ice and atmosphere (especially knowing they have very little chance to medal). I think those who skate in the team event will have an advantage in their singles events.

Last I checked Gracie put on a little weight and struggled to even do a double lip. I'm not sure what her game plan is honestly or what the performance reports have been from SOI. Sentimentally I would like Mirai to make it this time. And maybe it's possible. She is the only US lady to medal internationally after Nationals. I like Karen too but she can be hot or cold. Never been a fan of Wagner, but I don't see them leaving her off the team. Mariah Bell I don't really feel one way or the other about, but I don't like her more than Karen, Mirai, or Gracie when she decides to pull it together. Polina will probably compete to try to make the team as well. Reeeeeally don't like her skating but for some reason she seems to skate well at nationals. - he is sooooo on point for me. For the men, I think it'll be Jason, Nate, and Vincent. As long at Nate and Vincent are healthy I think they are locks. Reliable quadsters.

Whatever yuzu does for his SP I hope he would start with a combination just so that he doesn't paint himself into a corner if the second jumping pass doesn't go as cleanly. He would have been over 100 at worlds easily if he just had a combination at the start, even if he put his foot down a little on that second jump. -
I used to be an admin on a board like this and I'm surprised they're cutting corners like that with the restoration feature. That gave me a huge peace of mind...

Honestly I'm surprised it took this long to give him his own forum. But sometimes when you get to a certain level, it's necessary. I shudder to think what life would have been like if I only had goldenskate or FSU to go to back when my faves Plushenko and Sasha were competing.

Not sure if this has been brought up, but when I registered the activation link was in my spam folder. You might want to add a line after registration for users to check their spam folder if they don't see an email immediately.
