  1. Looks like it says "I like Tokyo Nishikawa's feather futons." Looks like our guy is will sell sell sell as always! Also,
  2. You never know from competition to competition, so I never underestimate his competitors, especially Chiddy who could have a good day and he has a bad one. I'm sure Yuzu doesn't either. From your mouth to the skate gods' ears. Alex is cute and really nice. Both he and Maia were so mannerable when I met them. And at another instance in Helsinki we (@kiches and I) were in the lounge and they came in. She didn't say anything, but kiches's eyes got really big when he walked in . He has that effect on women.
  3. Same. When I saw that I realized Yuzu doesn't have it easy for any competition he enters this season. He'll be fighting for everything he gets. Cue my obligatory Alex Shib ogling. *sigh*
  4. I was barely hanging on with my nerves in Helsinki and he ended up first in the group. I don't think I can handle that. I question my decision to do this everyday. I was thinking it was Boston redux.
  5. Yuzuru's lack of telegraphing always takes my breath away. In fact, it's what made me take notice the first time I saw him do PW. Quad toe like nothin'. All I could say was "Damn! Who is that?!" This sport will remember the name now, that's for sure . Though I'm so used to how he does the jumps now and where they're supposed to be that I can anticipate it more, but it's still awesome.
  6. I have a feeling Yuzu would see this and have a lot of sads.
  7. Someone tossed a Pooh in Sochi so perhaps. I'm bringing 3 for Yuzu. And of course I'll have my own Pooh for me because it's necessary. I just hope I don't pull him apart. I've already squeezed him to death. probably trying to get back on Med's good side since she ditched his free skate.
  8. You know, looking back on my Helsinki Pooh rain vid, Cup of Russia's makes it look kind of underwhelming in comparison.
  9. Yeah. I haven't checked these in a bit, I'm surprised this one topped 20k. My world record screaming one is better though. Yes, Yuzu's highs are so high and lows, so low. I only saw the free skate in Boston and after the short in Helsinki I was thinking maybe I'm just bad luck for him. But then he delivered a moment I'll never forget for as long as I'm breathing.
  10. Helsinki had me on a high for an entire week. It was noticeable when I got back to work and my boss told me I seemed relaxed and happy.
  11. Regardless of these, I wouldn't be shouting any stats to the rooftop as proof of much. I know what my eyes tell me and watching both Nate and Boyang do several lutzes in the same spot at worlds for practice, there was no comparison. Kolyada too even though he fell. Boyang and Kolyada's are both wow moments. Nate's not so much. Yuzu's looks like a slightly less wow, but still a wow.
  12. truer words...truer words... But I'd ride 1000 drop towers if Yuzu weren't half as nerve-wracking for me as he can be.
  13. Ferris wheels I am okay with. Drop towers not so much.
  14. Funny because I love roller coasters. I've been on the tallest and fastest in the world in front row! But I find it a lot scarier to launch myself in the air and spin around 4 times in a fraction of a second landing on a thin blade... Or doing a release on a high bar while flying around in the air.
  15. LOL that reminds me I need to upload my ACI photo with him. He's a cutie for sure and a bit more my "type". Yuzu is still generally in a platonic place for me. I also don't really think of Javi as all that manly. I'd consider him a pretty boy. I guess when I think of that term I think of someone more rugged. Also, we'll have a height reference too so we can maybe figure out Yuzu's true height by proxy .
  16. I agree, though Boyang is not a favorite of mine and I am not particularly invested in his results. Short programs definitely seem like his stronger suite.
  17. Russian aren't known for being reserved, that's for sure.
  18. Yuzu and these Russian girls. Gotta beat them off with a stick.
  19. Is there a transcript of Yulia's commentary? I really want to hear what she has to say.
  20. Yeah I think about this trajectory from time to time. Sasha was my pre-Yuzu, Yuzu and I was so bummed when she fell to second in those games. I kept thinking "if only she just skated her Nats LP at Olys..." But the universe works in mysterious ways sometimes. It's like I ended up winning as a fan in a sense, I just didn't know it at the time .
  21. Yeah that's what we struggle with. I wouldn't be as happy if I was more casual. Helsinki was one of the happiest days of my life as well and somehow Yuzuru makes it feel earned. I think being able to celebrate with fellow fans had a lot of do with it too. Like, if he won in Boston I would have been happy, but probably not as happy as Helsinki made me. I really don't know if I could get any happier. An olympic win to compare it to would be nice though . And Sochi doesn't really count because my level of ubering then wasn't the same. I hadn't put the time in yet.
  22. I've been a fan of the sport for a long long time, but I have my ins and outs when it comes to peak interest. I usually need someone to uber or enough skaters I generally like, but when I have a fave I am all in and watching it across all disciplines. I put in a good 6-7 years during the Sasha/Plush era so I think it was okay to take some time away. I tuned in again for the 2010 Olympics and really only Dai was interesting to me but he wasn't really enough for me at the time. But when I noticed Yuzu, it was the right time to get interested in the sport again.
  23. To paraphrase they think he has points in both programs where he can create great moments and they said when he's skating, he skates with a demeanor that says he is the best. Basically complimenting his command of the ice which they think Nate still lacks. They gave him props for introducing the lutz and were complimentary of his technique. Said the rhythmn of his skating works very well with it. They thought the results could have went either way here and they think we're looking at the top 2 for the olympic podium. They commented on the fan reaction who was crying, but it wasn't too critical. They said they felt for them comparing when they travelled to see Yuna when she ended up bombing and losing to Rachel Flatt. Oh and they said he still seems to be grounded despite his rockstar status. They were actually a little critical of Raf and how he clearly is favoring Nate and thinks someone like Mariah might want to look elsewhere and they're still surprised Adam didn't leave after Nationals when he won. Oh and they want some viewers to send them pooh hats that they agree to wear for GPF and J Nats. Yeah, it seemed like a completely different podcast to me too. Convenient when they have a new "venture" to get up and running. But yeah if they want to spread Yuzu love, then I won't stop them even if it gets my side eye along the way.
