I think Nate has good mental strength actually, especially after 4CC where he threw down the skate he did after Yuzu's gutsy performance. In such a sport like this that requires insane amount of precision, good equipment is essential. I can give the skaters the benefit of the doubt occasionally, but not if it's a chronic issue. I'm working with the mindset that Nate will at least rotate everything he tries.

Hmm Brian hates the Tano. I wonder why... couldn't have anything at ALL to do with him losing to Brian Boitano or anything like that...

I've never seen him do one and I'd rather not see it since Rippons look better IMO.

For costumes I wouldn't mind his old Semei costume, but in all black instead of the white. Would be a cool contrast (someone did a nice fanart of it and I was totally on board). I got the thinking about about Terry Gannon's comment when Yuzu skated clean at NHK. I never forgot it. He said "it may not be an Olympic moment, but it's one he's going to remember for a long time." And now I'm like, Terry, if you only knew Yuzu would go ahead and try to make it just that. I hope he remembers he said that .

My initial reaction to Seimei announcement was slight disappointment, and with the long wait to announce a repeat it feels very anti-climatic. I could have actually got work done today rather than clamored around. And I have some Boston PTSD because Seimei was my first experience seeing Yuzu live. The only redeeming quality for me would be to do a 4 lutz successfully. But as I thought about it, it seemed like a program that was too good for what it got in Boston. It just felt incomplete and unresolved to say goodbye to the program on that note. And if it takes the Olympics to deliver the type of skate he intended in Boston, then I will gladly take that over something new. He deserves that skate and he deserves it on the biggest stage there is. Watching him skate Seimei to perfection on Olympic ice in person will absolutely be worth it for me. And yeah, he avoids warhorses this way. He's paving the way for his own warhorse. Overall I'm still not super crazy about it because I want him to do new and epic things (I'm just greedy that way), but I understand it, and if he's going to repeat it makes sense to do it with the record breaking programs. I would say I'm taking this better than I took the Chopin announcement.

Hahaha thank you! I still go "is that me?" You know, I never noticed the shaking camera before but you are totally right! I'm sure I was shaking a bit. The atmosphere in the arena was unbelievable. I had extra pep in my step for an entire week after. Even my boss noticed I just seemed really relaxed and happy so I totally get what you mean, haha.

You mean 4 Loop for the SP? He does the 4 Loop on the same side as the 4sal/3toe combo for the free.

I was 6th row so I could see it well. I also saw the beauty he did in practice. And yeah, that was one of the happiest days of my life. I'll never forget it and it will always be something we can look back on and smile about no matter what's going on in this crazy and cruel world. Enjoy the highs when we have them! And I just checked my K&C screaming video and it's now over 23,000 views. I cannot. I've showed people and they said they've never heard me sound like that before.

LOL. I watched 4CC free skate live. And well...Worlds cuz I was there. While I didn't express it outwardly I was like when he botched the 4sal/3toe in front of me for the short (it was on my side of the rink), but then I was like when he hit it in the free in front of me. Followed by some crazy screaming. He gives you a heart attack but the victories feel SO much sweeter .

I thought I read that he said he likes cats but he doesn't have time to care for one.

I think there's a good chance this could be his SP. It would be a standout piece among the usual stuff we'll be in for. Like for me PW was good for Yuzu because it was more modern and a departure from the usual.

I'm really digging whatever Nathan was doing.
