The chances of a repeat are pretty slim though. The girls are great, the pairs are solid, but dancers are... a mess, the men are showing some promise, but we need some more time. Chanada has a well-balanced team, on the whole, so... if Gaby's in there, I wouldn't mind seeing them win. Sorry for being not patriotic. Sure, Canada has the biggest chances right now, but I don't think it's that settled... Pairs can actually be really good if Stol/Klim stay heallthy. They came in 3rd in the WC LP despite messing up their SP first and pulled up to 5th to beat D/R anyway. IMO, Russia wins girls, likely Pairs; Canada wins Dance and likely men. And if a Russian man would beat Chiddy, given how much this man can implode, I wouldn't be too surprised either. Again, I agree Canada is going in as fave, but I think Russia still has a really good fighting chance. I think we could make a Team Event Thread... but who'd come there! So we OT here to our hearts' content...

Когда не состоялось ни одного, пошли угадайки, на каком этапе его прыжки и готовность. Веселое было времечко... Не забуду. А теперь уже можно даже на немного отдохнувшего Юзу летом посмотреть!

Samarin... hasn't impressed me much so far, but sounds promising. Petrov might learn some more quads, though I don't believe that. The trouble with Kovtun... he's consistent at Russian Nationals! LOL

Oh absolutely and I don't expect any quick success at all. But Plushy has this incredible drive, he's one of those people that make me think they're almost willing things to happen. My one gripe with him is that I wish he'd gone to school in this break and gotten some theoretical knowledge under his belt but still, hopefully it all goes as best as it can go. I mean Adelina will and won't be a good test case, considering everything so I'm going to keep an eye on the Juniors coming from there. Have some pity - the guy was busy doing shows all this time. :s_tongue He's got the drive for himself, but it remains to be seen whether and where he can drive others.
