Yes, in my country (Poland) national flag as well as emblem are also very often appropriated to expose extremely nationalist (and xenophobic) views by some groups of people but it never occurred to me to perceive domestic athletes - who celebrate their victory singing national anthem and showing respect to the flag - the same way. It's completely different context and completely different energy or pattern of pathriotism those examples represent.

Oh dear, this is crazy and ridicolous. I regret that I read it. What is that Kamakura FM? Is this a serious medium? Doesn't sound like that. I hope Yuzu is just calmly training in Canada with TCC good team vibes and doesn't give a freckle about that. Not worthy to bother his perfect skin with this kind of tr*sh.

Utana&Shingo have now official instagram account for their team. BOrser has followed, so should you Edit 2: It looks like they fixed, renamed and updated it. Correct link: https://www.instagram.com/utashin_222/

It's her old short program (from first junior season) if I remember well. It suits her much better than the one with the stick (I didn't understand that concept). Nice dress.

It's strange. They could WD him at any moment, why they even don't put him on the list. I hope it's only a mistake, but based on what Han Yan said in some recent interviews, I have a feeling there are some serious issues in CSA that affect certain athletes. Another example: I can't stop wondering what's happpened to Yu Xiaoyu, she;s one of the most talented Chinese pair skater and it seems that they completely stopped supporting her. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my impression. Boyang's attempted/not-reached transfer to TCC also left some unexplained questions.

Is that new? Evgenia's not red hair makes me suspicious about it

Here you can find translation of Kose interview with Rika (after JNats). Admiration to Nao Kodaira is one another reason to be fond of Rika Great role model to follow. What I love about Rika is her stoicism mixed with such a bright and kind personality (among many other things).

Great interview with Zoe Jones (British pair skater): https://fs-gossips.com/zoe-jones-it-is-never-too-late-to-fulfill-your-dreams-and-be-happy/ -
This. Also, let's not forget that he cries for health and is not ashamed to admit it publicly (which I love). I think he has a lot of available options and people to rely on in his environment plus his own studies so it's certainly not neglected area in his case. If that were the case, he would never have come so far. I think that one of his strenght is that he can accept this kind of struggle, accept negative emotions, analyze them, talk about them with high level of maturity (even in public interviews which is very rare) and release them. It may sound hard, but actually the fact that he doesn't hide it but talks about it is cleansing.

I love Kenji Kawai. My most crazy dream is Yuzu skating to Kawai's ambient Ringu ost. That would be sth.

Yep. Fact that he consider his eventual win as "miracle"... when I would call it simply "justice". But, in the and, although it's pretty painful to watch, I can feel some genuine eagerness to fight in his spirit with hope to succeed at some point.

Here's the next part of this long and touching interview after JNats, translated by the great team from Axel With Wings. It will never cease to amaze me how he's been able not to lose any of his genuineness in such conditions he's been dealing with for many years.

But she is a legend, isn't she? She's one of the most freqently named figure as a great example to follow by young skaters who look up to her. Maybe she doesn't have an olympic gold, but her longevity and many other achievements built her legacy. And beautiful skating on top of that. She's sb like Javi - without a big 5 minutes hype of being an absolute leader of the moment, but the beloved, remebered and respected one for ages. She put a huge impact on the whole next generation.

Jimmy Ma apologized for his comment under Paganini's post. Good to see that.

Love that feeling to discover some connection between unrelated people who I admire

This cat would be a better judge than any of those ISU's muppets. Just look how carefully he follows all the details

Mami Yamada? Not sure though...

Exactly. Without him I would feel about it like: not me cup of tea, not my taste, tired of spreading of this kind of energy, don't find it entertaining at all. With him I'm like: disgusting, get it out of my eyes, are there any brains hanging on those necks?! What the **** are you promoting here?

I'm curious what do you think of that situation - it happened on recent Art on Ice show: I actually have no words... Mindless and tasteless epathesis of male nudity in the context of all recent sexual abusement stories... Some French skaters are there, and all above - Cipres lifting Paganini. Does anybody really finds it atractive, funny or simply ok? This community just continues to fail me and it seems they can't learn anything at all. Also, some IG comments, like Jimmy Ma's: "Put that pussy on the pedestal"
