Ok, Isabeau is charming performer, but her skating is small and juniorish, it's a pre-puberty technique, let's wait 2 years if she can still be a player. Very cautious today, very little speed and flow.

Kanadai definitely the most entertaining and charismatic performers with the best designed programs - everything from the choreo, music cuts, costumes feels just right and work well as a whole

As much as I love fun, humorous, playful side of Hawayek/Baker - they are masters of that - their lyrical programs are NO for me; nothing memorable, boring and mediocre; they just don't have this natural subtlety to make it work and she's trying too much, overdoing it with exaggerated, dramatic expression

Jason Chan really stands up among ice dance guys for me, there's sth exquisite and graceful in the way he moves, very eye-catching. And he has a textbook posture for the dancer.

This program from McNamara/Spirindonov seems to be "inspired" by last season success of Green/Parsons, but it's neither well choreographed nor captivating. I believe good teams should seek for their own ideas and define their own charisma and style rather than copy others.

Carolane and Shane, sorry to say so, they continue to be the most boring team for me. I don't know why, but it's almost like their trademark. Coaching change and rebranding didn't help at all. It was especially painfully visible yesterday, when they skated after Kanadai. Today also, the Germans were way more engaging and inetersting, even if the style of their free dance is not my cup of tea.

One more point - I think Kaori deserves to take things easy this season, after murderous olympic year, considering she;s been so solid for quite a few years; I hope she can just enjoy herself, I'm just grateful that she's still here sharing that joy; I wish her to take her own path, not giving in to pressure, taking things slowly and also having some well deserved rest. I hope that we can see her skating few more seasons, so girl, take all time you need to feel well, you don't have to win every competition, set your own goals.

Anyway, finding some good points, ignoring the obvious s**t stuff: Kaori in 1st position, Katya&Haein in final group, Yeonjeong and Rino are such a beautiful skaters, great to have a chance to see them here; some strong performances by mature 20+ yo skaters showing this sport can offer much more depth, balance and charisma when isn't dominated by 15yo pre-puberty overtrained kids led by crazy adults

Where's the world champion bonus for Kaori?
