  1. Kaori, not perfect technically, but still, such an amazing program, no other can slay it like her, so much ease and speed and charm
  2. how that score with that combo?
  3. Kaori looks so good in this haircut, I can't take my eyes from her; she's my hero - strong, warm, confident, mature and full of good energy, beatiful young woman, she's so authentic in the way she expresses herself, I love that.
  4. Gracie looked much more confident then usual recently; even with the loop failure, it was a really good performance for her, great to see it
  5. Madi&Evan - I barely could hold my attention, sth was very off in their performance for me, energy not there; it's like they got stuck in their formula thay maybe worked 3 seasons ago, but it's not exiting anymore
  6. Hello, does anybody know if there are any avalaible videos?
  7. I feel greateful for those bonus 4 years after 2nd OGM, even if it was a tough rollercoaster. Every performance was a precious gift. He's still young, ambitious, hard-working, extremally determined professional - just imagine the beauty that will come from that, when he doesn't need to focus so much on technical elements. That will be real treat, I tell you Yuzuru the mature artist - I'm really excited fot this next chapter. Also, what a relief for the nerves after so many years I guess I also need to hapilly retire from the stress.
  8. Retiting from ISU (and competing) but not from skating - he will skate as a pro in shows etc, he still wants to challenge 4A
  9. Among so many things I can't understand this one is very hard to accept.
  10. I 've just read that and I'm absolutely disgusted. Delilah should be in jail. Why the hell it takes so much time and so many cases to set her apart from skaters? https://eu.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2021/10/08/figure-skater-details-abuse-allegations-against-dalilah-sappenfield/6040794001/
  11. I love Gabi's dress for free dance, both the cut and colors, looks great on her
  12. I also think Kaori should drop this program and continue to behead jusges with her spiral. This deserves olympics if she can make the team.
  13. Ohh, so great! Love it. Hands movemets in the twizzles as well as the last part - thrilling. Their team did good job with that choreo.
  14. Ayumi and Shingo did so well and their programs are really well choreographed. Good to see young japanese ice dance teams rising, looking forward to healthy competition between them. Plus JPN has really great pairs team (Riku&Ryuichi) so hopefully they can build and develop a really strong team in all disciplines in the future. If only they had fed 20% as good as their skaters...
  15. Yes, I only trust in Sui/Han. And Kihara/Miura are my new favs. Although I have to say all of those affairs, breakups and awful stories made me very distant to the whole disciplines of pairs and ice dance. I try not to get emotionally engaged to any of new teams, becuase there's so much stuff in the background. I think those disciplines are hitting the wall and needs to be redefined - both in terms of coaching environment and managing the work relations as well as the entire foundation what the team really is including gender related issues.
  16. I really don't like Eric's response. The worst thing is that he seems to not understand what is wrong with how he played it. What I really hate is that he assumed what are Meagan's personal plans without actually asking her, obviously - man knows better. Just another case that shows how much rotten is pair skating as a discipline. I may not be a fan of Meagan in terms of her skating style and some of her opinions but I stand with her on that matter. It's good that she spoke out. We need those female voices from pair skaters to be heard and respected.
  17. Very smart and responsible decision, great example of leadership and right message to the skating world. He can afford this kind of maturity and we can afford patience to wait a bit longer to see him perform being well prepared in circumstances when neither skaters nor the audience have to worry about safety, morals and health, when we all can just enjoy the show (and casually curse ISU)
  18. Terryfying. The worst thing is that (according to some comments by mandarin native speakers) the whole article glorifies her mother. I hope somehow Nini has some other people around her who can bring other perspective and comfort her, even if just a bit. Even if she succeeds with her career, knowing current standards, it'll be over when she's around 20. What she will be left with then?
  19. You're right, there's no point in looking for any logic there
  20. But choosing Trusova over Shcherbakova, considering Anna got higher results at both major competitions they were against each other and also won nationals - it's quite a choice imo. I would say, result wise, Trusova's season wasn't really that good versus her junior achievements and high expectations. Anna had a better season.
  21. No nomination for any pair team... Considering that this is a discipline that from all needs to be promoted and supported the most.. ISU is so so so clever, really. I don't have any respect for that b*lsh*t project, but not giving any nomination e.g. for Sui/Han although they've won literally every competition since they came back from injury, starting from 4CC last year - is a choice. If they were from US, Russia, Canada or even France - they would certainly get some. Such a disservice for the whole pairs discipline.
  22. Lot's of nice empty words that mean nothing. Sorry for my pessimism, but I don't believe any real actions will be taken. PR game only. There were plenty of cases exposed in their own field just last year and ISU hasn't done anything so far. They are such cowards they did not even include sexual orientation in the list of discrimination factors in this beatiful statement, although it was major topic in FS environment last few weeks. I guess it belongs to "other status", too dificult to them to call things as they are. I look forward to the moment when any of skating organizations will have a single one significant case of their actual support to anything to show as a proof before they publish any statement like that.
  23. The relation is analogical to the relation between ISU and figure skating
  24. Great interview with Serafima Sakhanovich - very honest (but also calm and rational) voice telling volumes about coaching environment and its issues in Russia (and probably not only). Let's listen to the athletes more than those PR wars from more powerful ones. I really felt for her when she said she had a nervous breakdown and ended up in hospital after Plush accused her of laziness and simulating injuries in interview. The ethics of those big figures in this environment are so low it's painful to hear. I hope that gradually, thanks to the courage of those who decide to speak up publicly about their experiences (like Serafima, Katia Kurakova or Betina Popova), this will change for better. https://fs-gossips.com/serafima-sakhanovich-i-had-a-nervous-breakdown-when-plushenko-accused-me-of-laziness-and-simulation-of-injury-in-his-interview/
  25. Shingo training with his sister. Cute!
