100% agree
-
Except that this fact is presented as the one that determines the specific treatment of mentioned athletes in their favor.
-
I definitely don't like the part about Chinese ancestors. Sounds like racist conspiracy theory. He went way too far with his assumptions.
-
Because it's hyper risky so they don't want to make a harm considering they don't have such a power and connections to play it like RusFed. But I definitely don't think that they do nothing. They do opposite - take every occasion to say how unique Yuzu is, how great his skating skills and transitions are etc. They use positive narration to play (what I personally appreciate). For example, in my opinnion, Tracy did an amazing job at Skate Canada with her commentary.

Thinking what kind of look he could give to Raf, hearing the stuff he sometimes says about Nate's jump aspirations
-
Imo he's never landed 4Flip (real one) as well, but this is another conversation..
-
To make it clear - I was only joking
-
I have a feeling, Eteri is still playing her lonely one-side war game with Brian
-
Brian should take a PR lesson from Eteri. What a mastermind she is to show up only for Yuzu's runthrough during his coachless practice True winner! I hate her and I love her at the same time.

If he was reached he probably knew that H*rsh is going to write sth anyway, so maybe he chose to speak to limit Phil's speculation. Whatever we think about H*rsh, he is, unfortunately, influential figure working for big media brand.
-
It is surely presented in a way with bad intentions to fuel the atmosphere. However, I believe team TCC will be able to handle it properly, when they all talk to each other instead of media. Tbh in Tracy I trust
-
Agree. Also, the timing of his IG posts was a bit strange for me and it's hard to believe imo than he didn't know what kind of reaction it will be followed by. Although, to say it clearly, those responses were horrible and there's nothing to defend. However, his PR game (strategic or not) has been very confusing. Still, I'm not going to make any assumption on this poor Phil's article and hope with all my heart that they will be all able to play it smart, put all ego issues (if they are any) to the background and quickly solve it all internally in TCC.

He could have freely love him in 2015, when there was no relevant US skater to wildly promote as his rival. He could have love him then or rather use his brightness for autopromotion etc. IMO he's a lobbyst not journalist.

Maybe it's me and my neurosis, but I don't trust Phil - I have a feeling that it's written in a way to create additional hype an misinformation about this topic and make harm to Yuzu by this (as a distraction from his preperation to the next part of the season).
-
I'm shocked and speachless and heartbroken. Absolutely disgusting.
-
This is probably not the right thread to post it but... the bottom may be deeper than we thought:
-
I love her so much! And with all that iritating narrations around, she comes in and thanks God Yuzu has her She's really delivering this season some excellent content.
-
Thank you so much!!!
-
Yeee! Looking good- jumped with legs Hope she can successfully land it at some comps. So proud of her!
-
Me neither but I'm just angry that he has to spend his precious time for such a silly stuff instead of celebrating his awesome achievement and recovering before GPF.

I was thinking for a while about this whole competition as it left me with mixed feelings. Yuzu's performances were more than incredible. Honestly, I'm really glad that he wasn't 100% perfect, he didn't need to, at all. Considering that he has way more important and difficult competition ahead in less than 2 weeks and he had the prospect of returning to Canada and then very shortly traveling to Europe, I was absolutely proud of him that he put his health first. So much stress and pressure at this comp + such challenging travels could affect health and condition very easily and drastically with no time to recover. About my mixed feelings - I was AGAIN so dissapointed with Japenese fed and media. They seem to have zero respect for their athletes and their health. Really, so many interviews to do with reccuring such silly questions about breaking WR at NHK - why anybody should espect him to do that at this exact competition with so challenging schedule ahead and his injuries history?! Only becouse it's domestic? Not even mentioning zero care for fair judging. It created so much additional pressure that I can't understand it at all. I have to say I'm extremely impressed by him, probably more than ever, because he did not get caught up in this narrative. When he popped the second toe, I think it was a decision, not a mistake - sacrifice to not to risk to much. So mature and wise. And he still won by a huge margin with two magnificent performances that cannot be seen as dissapointing by any person with common sense. He got second highest total score this season, short only to his own. In the past we have seen more than once that senseless expectations and narratives created by his domestic fed and media led him to really hard experiences. I'm so glad that this time he was beyond that and decided to rely on his own instincts during his free skate, even if he knew that it will be followed by some negative (although idiotic imo) evaluation. Sorry for my long and chaotic post and language mistakes

I wonder what kind od threatening must be behind this if that guy can't say sincere words about his own work.
-
Noo, the video has been removed also from Twitter. Why ISU has to destroy everything I love in skating?! I truly hate those clowns.
-
Don't agree. For what I see, they actually are absolutely superior in terms of skating skills.
-
Yeah, it's 2019 and I really don't understand that "skirt rule"...
