A really nice podcast with Gabriella Papadakis (by Lilah Fear in her show) - she's so interesting to listen to, very honest, not avoiding difficult topics like anxiety, depresion and darkness or costume malfunction at OG but also very self conscious, mature and funny. I didn't know she's interested in studying foreign languages. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/gabriella-papadakis/id1358459893?i=1000469537587 I find this kind of converastions much more interesting and inspirational than many of materials prepared by "proffesional journalists". Focused on what interlocutor actually thinks, feels and wants to say, taking time for that and not looking for a sensational quotes. You can learn so much more about a real person from that. [Quite long but not boring at all and I guess many of us have some spare time at home rn.]

So.. Brandon and Alexa?

So how do you think, under which nickname TAT is hiding here?

Roman's new vlog. He (with his team) managed to find some open rinks for few pratices, one for hockey, another one very small. He recorded some fun material. I love the relationship they have with his coach As mentioned in comment section, those rinks are now closed too.

I don't think so, as Takahashi's agent denied that (as mentioned). Very few cases are "established" in FS world - that's the core of the problem and that's what this article is about. But I appreciate that they listed it as a significant case to show it's a problem of entire skating world, no matter what country and culture.

Last call if anybody else wants to help Yuzu troll USFS Idk why I care, probably because I'm bored of sitting at home and reading bad news, so I welcome any kind of Yuzu-entertaiment.
-
Haha, CBC Olympics reposted Yuzu interview, they want even more likes
-
According to this source, Chris had some sudden cardiac case. So sad and shocking, in such a young age. May he rest in peace.
-
Idk if it has been shared, but Camden Pulkinen said few really nice words about Yuzu in some recent podcast:
-
Ths interview is so great, it gave me chills. Great to see some solidly prepared material about him in western media. I wish we had more journalism like that in FS. Gonna rewatch it 100 times or more. And he looks great! Sorry to interrupt this Yuzu-CBC-fest with way less important stuff, but it's Monday, so let's help him troll USFS once again

Romsky's new vlog about how Covid19 affected his training routine. Basically, he has no available rink currently (as well as many other skaters in Canada). He said only some private clubs (like TCC) are still open, but only for their members with strict rules. But he also expressed his understanding to that policy in current circumstances.
-
I just want to add that the fact Yuzu and Jason made it to the final of that not very important Gala Madness project tells all the truth about the figure skating audience (in US or wherever) - we like and apprieciate beautiful skating, real qualities and full package skaters way much more than techniqual tricks or fun concepts. May anybody in charge finally listen to that and start to make it justice? It may bring more $$$ than spending all the energy on ridiculous PR projects.

If anyone is interested: Ready for fierced rivaly

Agree. For sure, the fact that she can land those quads is impressive. She deserves to get points for base value (if they are fully rotated and done with a proper technique), but not much GOE and PCS max in 6 tbh for that skate. If her team has a strategy to go only for quads, that's their choice, but she shouldn't be given any bonus points for other aspects that she's not bringing. So still, in any sensible system, she should be possible to beat even with a clean skate with 5 quads.

2020/2021 Season Program Announcements
rubyblue replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
Roman Sadovsky's new SP will be choreographed by David Wilson. No info about music and any details so far, but some fun snippets from how it looks like to start preparing for the new season: -
I see many skaters who repeat the same program every season (which is 80% none-program) and only change the background music So they could literally change "the program" every time they skate. Also, I see way more evolution and development in Yuzu's recycled programs, not even mentioning pleasure or excitment by watching them again and again.

Junior Skaters of 2019/20 Season
rubyblue replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
I don't know, I also was suprised. If I remember well, they participated in test skates and looked ok back then (not sure though). They also participated at sr and jr nats. Didn't skate to their best, but a lot of potential was still there. They were one of the top jr team last season, maybe even the most promising and this year they didn't receive a lot of support, at least it looks like that from the outside. Probably there is some story behind this (health issues, conflict or sth). Maybe some Russian fanyus here know more. -
Junior Skaters of 2019/20 Season
rubyblue replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
Nooo, they were so good. But I hope they will continue and search for new partners. Especially Polina, she's a fire girl. -
Katia is so smol, she's filling the space below Yuzu/Jun arms with her entire self
-
Translation for Yuzu's comment:
-
Katya (her Polish is not very advanced yet but very good for a begginer and absolutely sweet): "I also want to thank everyone for crossing their fingers for me, for being close. Thank you very, very much. Kisses"

I already told Tracy is new PR manager at Cricket...
