I loved that StSq. But not gonna lie. That StSq was the highlight of the program, and to see it with just screams was a bit surprising. I'm worried that fans will do this again during GPF or Worlds this year. Scream throughout an entire StSq after Yuzu lands all his jumps. I screamed too, instinctively because I was so happy, but like... it was more of a crowd atmosphere thing. The crowd sort of made you think it was okay to scream throughout the whole StSq, when logically, it is a bit off putting. It might make Yuzu more nervous or pressured during the performance, which is worrying. Kudos to Yuzu who kept focused despite of that scream mania though.

Yes! I couldn't hear the music afterwards, I wonder how Yuzu skated to screaming because he did the StSq perfectly during the screams. With no music.

Wouldn't winning be just as important to him as landing 4A? If he got a Bronze or off the podium with a ratified clean 4A he will have that Bronze medal or silver medal face...

I was there at 18 Olympics, and the screaming got out of control when Yuzu landed all his jumps in the SP. I've never seen a skating competition where the whole arena screamed during the performance. And this sort of screaming is somehow uncontrollable, because everyone instinctively does it. A bit worried if this sort of screaming during the performance may affect his performance.

I had no idea he was jumping flips at ACI? Wow.. About the whole Kuyashii thing: This is the reason why I think he will go for that 3rd OGM, his personality is very competitive, and I can't imagine him doing 2 seasons with a Quad Axel under his belt and going: That's it. I've accomplished everything there is to do in figure skating personally. And also, I don't really trust all his words now. He says stuff to the media that he somehow goes back on. That whole zen attitude and going back to his origin and just enjoying skating without caring too much of WR or winning was shattered in that one sentence "There is no point if I'm not winning" I actually thought this time round he will go by his words, but boy I was wrong. How many days did it take for him to say that?

The whole topic of age coming up; I reckon he can skate until 2022, if he is healthy by then. And if by some miracle, his ankle and motivation and will still holds up after Beijing Olympics, he might do 1 ~ 2 seasons after olympics like Javi, or just skate at Worlds. And by some miracle from another planet, he wants to do a 4th olympics? It's not impossible. He will be 31 in 2026. He can always just skate the Team Event like Plu did in Sochi, for national pride or celebration of the end of his career.

LOL because Yuzu always reminds the Japanese Media that he isn't that old. It's because he's been around the sport for so long without breaks. This is his 9th Senior year, and he has never had a season off, ever in his career. People get the impression he's ancient because he's never been off the spotlight since 2012, when he rose to the senior stage. And considering Plushenko was like in his late 20s at Vancouver Olympics, I don't think Yuzu is old. If Yuzu really wants to compete as long as Plushenko, he could even skate at the team event in 2026 olympics, because Plu did that at 31, and pulled out of the singles event.

Believe me, every Japanese boy born in Yuzu's generation knows this. He was born during the golden age of pokemon. He likes Digimon, so my bets are he would know this pokemon. But he will be confused like "What does this random Pokemon have to do with me?"

I recently watched a vid from ACI. Are you not allowed to throw pooh bears after Yuzu's performance in ACI? I don't see any poohs.

Maybe he could raise a goldfish? It won't affect his asthma, and he can have a new hobby besides earphones! Or maybe he's not much of a pet person? I heard his family was financially strained because of his skating before he got sponsors. Maybe that's why he never had time to bond with animals. And doesn't want them now, because he never had them in the first place.

Can Asthma patients have cats as pets? I think Yuzu would like dogs more, because they are more affectionate.

Swanyu was also an open back. I'm open to anything really. I trust Yuzu can pull it off. See through tops, laces, frills, sparkles, even fishnet stuff, you name it, I'm in.

Yes Brian did say that Javi competes better because he is less tensed than Yuzu at one point. I think the new Yuzu is much stronger.

The new Number translation kind of made me confused. In 2017, Yuzu said that an athlete's body peaks at 30, and he said that his possibilities are therefore quite endless at this point. But in the recent Number interview, he said he will retire by 28. And in 2015, he said he will retire at 23. Which Yuzuru Hanyu should I believe, the 2015, 2017 or 2018 version?

I hope Ted does that Interview with the Gold Medalist interview. I would love to see Ted interacting with Yuzu in english, and Yuzu answering all his questions without a translator.

A part of me craves that what Yuzu really is aiming for is a clean program with a clean 4A landing. He wouldn't want to retire with a program with a clean 4A, but a messy consistency. He probably won't be satisfied with his performance unless it's clean. Another part of me is that Yuzu craves to skate a clean olympic free before he retires, but maybe not, because he already has 2 OGM, despite the 2 frees having a few mistakes.

Huh? So little girls are allowed to upload vids of yuzu at TCC? So far no photo or vid of Hanyu at TCC from Zhenya, Jason, Conrad, Gabby, but only Javier Raya and little girls can upload Yuzu photos and vids at TCC hahahaha.
