I'm new to this whole Nessie doll thing. What does it look like? Someone enlighten me! I'm getting Yuzu a pooh bear and Goat stuffie. I changed my mind.

I think Yuzu doesn't have the best track record of skating last. He does best when he skates first in the last group. I don't agree with this purely because I don't want Yuzu to always have the pressure of skating last put on him. It's unfair as well.

I'm going to RoC this season, and I want to throw a really big Pooh doll, but I can't find any where I live. I can only find a medium sized bear, but this time I want to throw a really big pooh bear because it is my first GP. Has anyone here thrown yuzu a really big pooh bear yet? And if so, how did you fit it in your carriage? I want to throw a really, really big one before he retires. So if I can't find it this year, I will try for next year. I'm thinking about the size of like an average 3 year old size pooh bear.

About the whole costume talk; I like Yuzu's costume because Yuzu's body shape and size can pull it off. If Yuzu was not as slim or tall as he is now (his current height and weight is perfect), I would find those costumes less beautiful.

Does anyone have any other photos of Yuzu interacting with skaters before the Olympic closing ceremony other than Boyang and Zhenya? I really like seeing Yuzu interacting with skaters from other countries.

This is like the first time I've seen Yuzu go out in a private dinner with skaters. Maybe because they're all Japanese that he doesn't feel burdened to hang out with them because of language barrier? I would love to see yuzu take a dinner photo with Javi or Plu or Johnny one day

I love your statement! His private life encompasses the "less is more" or "keep them guessing" phenomena. We are more crazy for him because we know so, so little about his private life. He's the Michael Jackson of Figure Skating, but we hardly know who he really texts, calls or hangs out with in his free time. I think instagram allowed us to take a glimpse into Skaters' private like to a large extent, because unless they make a private account, we can see what photos they like and comment on, who they follow, and which skater follows them back and vice versa. I always kind of thought that even if Yuzu did make an official instagram run by ANA or JSF or whatever, he wouldn't follow anyone. He would be those celebrities who has a million followers but "0" following, just to avoid scandals, tabloids. Because if he follows a "female" skater, then Japanese tabloids will go crazy again.. I know he will never make instagram but even if he did make a verified account, he would be under heavy inspection by the crazy Japanese media to see if he "likes" a female skater's photo or whatever. This thought led me to the realization that Yuzu, being a wise person that he is, has thought of many of these consequences or outcomes of how people will react when he makes a verified social media account. His tweets or instagram posts will make headlines, and if he makes one mistake online, then boom, his image may be affected more negatively than if he never made an account in the first place.

Oh God no. No offense, but the whole Patrick Chan styled simple costumes that try not to appear too feminine are nicknamed "Uniqlo Heat Tech Sweaters" in Japanese forums lol. I think Nathan's costumes are also very, very simple. Almost too simple I can't distinguish it apart from normal training wear sometimes. I'm sure Yuzu will wear something very dashing and eye catching, like his usual self. The question here is, to what level of Lady Gaga he will go up to this season. The Johnny Weir Extreme or the Average Hanyu level?

It seems he doesn't need a translator whilst training in TCC, so I think he is content with his English skills right now. He probably wants to study it deeper, but doesn't find the time to. (Or is too tired to after training).

Yes and because TCC has a warm family environment I imagine them doing something for their coaches and skaters. Yuzu also loves the coaching staff, so I'm sure he would go to one of those events. The thing is there has never been a photo leak from any of their social events. So maybe there isn't one at all.

I'm just gonna hold my excitement until the day of ACI. I know my twitter timeline will explode with Yuzu's costume reveals and we will be ranting on about it for the next 24 hours they are revealed, so I am trying my best not to squeal whenever a Yuzu fan art costume pops up on my TL. All I know, is that Yuzu will have something fabulous planned, whether it's a tribute to Johnny and Plu, he will find ways to add himself to the costumes, meaning; Yes it will be sparkly Yes it will be frilly Yes it will be colorful But yes, it will be pretty.

I've always wondered if Team Cricket has end of the season dinner parties or something, because Yuzu once said during February of this year that he would probably celebrate his 2nd OGM with his family and with his members at the club. I can't imagine Yuzu going out with TCC members privately, but maybe like for an end of season dinner thing, he might go haha. Hope all senior TCC members do well this year. I want to see a group photo with TCC medalists and Brian at the Banquet or something!

Also I think Japanese boys, the celebrities at least, are somewhat "prettier". I used to play Final Fantasy and the male characters were the "pretty, androgynous boys". I think Japanese culture values men who are beautiful, both in masculine and somewhat androgynous ways. They even have a term for it "Bishonen", which is what Yuzu is often called as.

Maybe the fact that Yuzu's takeoffs into Jumps are much more clean (virtually no prerotations on toe jumps) allow him to maintain his boot quality longer? I've never heard Yuzu complaining about boot problems, and I often wondered is it because he is so light and slim that his boots don't receive much shock or pressure during landings? I don't know. Whatever Yuzu is doing, his boots are magical or something.

Wow I had no idea he watched both pairs and Ice Dance so consistently! There was also a Youtube Profile link of Yuzu a while back in 2016 (yyskater), so if that's him maybe he made the account to watch figure skating on youtube since then (2011). Although you can watch youtube without signing in, I like to think that he is a youtube watcher like the rest of us!

Kira Kira in Japanese lol. I find it strange that Yuzu has very simple casual fashion sense in day to day life but almost johnny weirish lady gaga sparkle, glamorous fashion sense for skating costumes. It's the complete opposite to his normal day fashion style

I must have blocked that CoC crash from my memory. That bombed performance doesn't count because he was severely injured. But jump wise, that was a worse bomb than 2012 Skate America FS...

No not nationals. The only bombed performances of Yuzu that stick out to me were 1. 2012 SA FS 2. 2014 Sochi FS 3. ACI FS (generally) 4. Some Worlds FS and SC FS. I can count on Yuzu to skate clean SPs though. All his 3 SPs at Olympics were clean.
