  1. I would like to email this to the "star studded juries of ISU" who get to have the final say of the best costume of the year! Very convincing!
  2. Your description of the Origin 2.0 costume was very... Convincing... You should write for womens fashion magazine to try sell clothes lol. Hmmm... Maybe I was too attached to Origin 1.0 costume. I thought it was the better design, but seeing you describe 2.0 like that with so much passion convinced me to look at the 2.0 again with a new viewpoint. I guess it's a dividing costume where you either love it or you don"t. I voted for it regardless because it's more intriguing than Uniqlo Heat Tech boring shirts that other men wear. The results should be very interesting. If 2.0 does win costume of the year, then it would really shock me even more that maybe my tastes in costumes are different. My fave Yuzu costumes are Chopin 2.0, Seimei 2.0. Origin 1.0, H&L, Etude, Notte Stellata, Requiem Sparkle Salad, Haru yo Koi (too many) I also think Crystsl Memories costume is soooo pretty it should have been used as a competition costume. Considering I like the costumes above, I don't like Origin 2.0 as much I guess. But it's still better than the rest of men's costumes.
  3. I just type "yu" on the search bar for quick multiple voting. I voted 3 times for 3 different categories all for Yuzu.
  4. I think it's the tsunami of Weibo Fanyus + Russian VK Fanyus + Japanese Fanyus on Twitter mostly crashing it lol ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Can I make new accounts? Did it work for anyone? I can make 3 accounts per week until February P.S. I'm really surprised Yuzu's origin 2.0 was voted for Best Costume. It's not my fave outfit of his and I thought alot of people found the purple roses too much
  5. I regret not having made 20 temporary mail addresses to make 20 + ISU accounts
  6. The ISU Awards site just crashed. Yuzu is nominated for 3 categories and I'm lucky I made 3 accounts so I can vote for him for every category
  7. I checked Wikipedia. The last time Yuzu competed in Italy was September 3โ€“7, 2008 at the 2008 JGP Merano Cup It was during his 1st year as a Junior on the ISU circuit! And he's coming back to compete in Italy as a legend after 11 years. Also, 2008 JGP Merano Cup was Yuzu's very 1st official debut on an ISU Grand Prix international competition! So he debuted as an ISU Junior Skater in Italy! Wow, Italy really is a special place for him How poetic!
  8. This Get Up again got me pumped expecting a documentary of Yuzu's struggles from ISU. I hope Olympic Channel does like a 10 minute coverage of him before he retires. I appreciate their clips, but sometimes their videos are so short. It always leaves me hungry. Can you believe GPF is next week? Yuzu should arrive in Italy Tuesday ~ Thursday When is the last time Yuzu competed in Italy???????
  9. I didn't know his skating was this fast I hope we see a video of him training at TCC with oniceperspectives before he retires.
  10. I personally think Yuzu can compete until 30~31 as long as he is healthy and willing to do so. He doesn't gain weight easily, so becoming heavier with age should not be a concern of his.
  11. I just realized 2026 olympics is in Milano, Italy. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น I don't know whether Yuzu will go to Beijing 2022 olympics, but I hope to see Yuzu as a coach or choreographer in Milano. Yuzu's skating career is very poetic. His first olympic gold was in europe, his 2nd OGM was in asia, and if he goes to Beijing and wins, his last OGM will also be in east asia. It will be nice for him to come to an olympics as a spectator, coach, commentator or choreographer in Europe after he retires, where it all started (his 1st OGM was in Europe). I highly doubt Yuzu will compete after Beijing, but if he wants to do what Dai did (unretiring after retiring in Sochi) then I will be the first to jump on a plane to see him compete. I imagine Yuzu doing Japan Open after retiring for a few years though. And maybe doing Team Event for WTT.
  12. Omg what if they trip on the ice whilst going to receive their reward??
  13. If Yuzu wins something this season, I don't mind the awards being held every season. Or every 2 seasons. I really wanted Yuzu get that Laureus Awards in February but I guess Yuzu can have an ISU award instead. I wonder if the ISU awards is gonna be glamorous and have red carpets too?
  14. ISU will soon discover the power of The Chinese, Russian, Canadian, American, European, South East Asian, Oceania, South American fans in the Fanyu fandom base It's like ISU falling into the grave ISU dug in lol
  15. About fans here wanting to vote for Yuzu for favorite costume: I have a feeling ISU may ignore our votes if we vote Yuzu for every category. Or take our votes less seriously Because we have huuuuge numbers. Our fan base is the biggest. I'm sure by the vote alone Yuzu would win every category available to him, but I also want to discuss tactics. Should we focus voting on 1 category? Or just all of them at once? I realistically believe origin 2.0 and otonal 2.0 are not his best costumes throughout his career, and some ISU committee might think we just voted because Yuzu wore them.. I know costume preferences are personal, but I think the costumes most people find pleasing in agreement (as in majority of people find them pleasing on average) are things like Seimei 2.0, Chopin 3.0 and Origin 1.0. Or if we vote for best choreography, they might ignore our vote because Yuzu recycled both his programs.. I think Yuzu is very likely to win "Most valuable skater" award, which seems like the most honorable and biggest award anyway lol ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
  16. At least we don't have crazy yunabot trolls like koola king in our fandom ๐Ÿ˜‚ But anyway just ignore that comment. I see Kozuka and that skater make inappropriate comments about Yuzu's fans and just shrug them off. Their opinions have little weight in Japanese skating world anyway. (If Arakawa said that, it would be more devastating because what she says has more social impact).
  17. If it's not a big event I guess Yuzu will skip it then.
  18. Hi guys I'm seeing some tweets from Japanese fans about upcoming "Asian Games" Any chance Yuzu might go for it? There are figure skating medals too.
  19. He's so sweet when he takes pics with Japanese girls ๐Ÿ˜€
  20. ISU Cash Cow ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ’ฆ Oh God. Then he will win it like 3 times in a row before he retires.
  21. This whole HPB talk was draining, even though I only lurk on twitter. I think the best thing we should do is try and get him that ISU award by voting like crazy I want him to win Most Valuable Skater: Honors the Single Skater or Pair or Ice Dance Couple who best managed to increase the level of popularity of Figure Skating related to the fan base involvement, media attention and sponsors appreciation or Lifetime Achievement Award: Honors a Figure Skating legend having achieved great success and popularity and is considered as a role model in the Figure Skating World. I have a feeling Yuzu can't get lifetime achievement awards until he retires though. But I want to vote for both of them. To be honest, I feel like the best costume awards are reserved for ladies, unless Yuzu gets a killer costume like Notte Stellata, Haru yo Koi or the Requiem Sparkle Salad. But I doubt they would count EX dresses for the vote.
  22. I just don't want the possibility of the commentators to say during or after the competition "Yuzuru fans singing in the background disrupted Under rotation analyzation process or xxxxxx process" or "Yuzuru fans singing during live competition was inappropriate." What I meant in my previous posts were the possibility of them complaining more so than the UR counting. I don't want to hear commentators complaining or making excuses or blaming on fanyus later on or during the competition. It's just an embarassing mark to leave on a fandom. It would be better not to have a possibility of those types of comments being left behind in Yuzu's skating career. The japanese fanyus are going crazy panic mode on my tl and now subtweeting at the original posters. It's sad to see this fandom fight like this over something like this, but it does help the fandom be more cautious about things like this. I do think Yuzu fans sometimes over-reacts with Yuzu. Especially how some girls (although I don't know which side of the fandom) left snarky comments in Zhenya's instagram to "stay away from him" etc. Those fans I despise. Other times, the over-protection is debatable, instances like the birthday song I believe are debatable because it might affect the next skater warmimg up. I just don't want the next skater take an interview with his country or international press and be like "fanyus singing whilst I was warming up in the ice was rude and disruptive to my focus". If a skater made that excuse, we can't blame them because crowd singing during a skater's ice warm up is not tradition nor figure skating custom. It is an unusal crowd behavior. I also remember an interview from Alina Zagitova where she said she didn't like the crowd clapping during her Carmen routine last season. Sometimes, skaters are sensitive to small changes in their atmosphere, and the bigger the competition is, the more sensitive and considerate you have to become to other skaters in the rink. Not just Yuzu. This JP fanyu post is being retweeted alot. Basically, it says not everyone in the stadium will be fanyus, and some will dislike the song being sung after kiss and cry. Japanese fans are very against it being sung during competition in consideration of these other fans and of the next skater skating after Yuzu. Some japanese fans don't even want it sung after open practice, but I don't know about that because it's after open practice and no one has a competition straight afterwards. It won't affect their performance so I think after open practice would be more appropriate. I am for a Birthday Banner during competition. I am for throwing cake plushies. I am for doing creative birthday videos. I am for fans making birthday shirts. Just not singing after kiss and cry. Also singing during victory ceremony and gala is debatable as the timing is important.
  23. What I wanted to say too. I also noticed he hangs out privately with mostly Japanese skaters (Oda) outside his private schedule such as going to restaurants to eat with them (Oda said he and Yuzu go out to eat during summer whilst Yuzu is in Japan). I used to think Yuzu is a bit anti-social because he said he doesn't go out with anyone in Toronto, but then found out, Yuzu does go out with people he feels comfortable with (like Oda).
  24. I care about what commentators around the world may or may not say after or during the competition about Yuzu's fans singing happy birthday during a live competition. And if it turns out to be a negative comment, Yuzu will be embarrassed at his fans behavior. Because both you and I know singing songs loudly during live competition is not common behavior of any figure skating fans in any discipline: ice dance, pairs, ladies. Also you cannot deny they are influential people in figure skating. Regardless of the commentator's nationality, what they say does have an impact, especially if it is a negative comment on how some fans misbehave. Yuzu watches all his replays with different commentary (he once said so himself) and I don't want him to hear anything negative about his fans from commentators.
  25. Then we misread each other in the wrong context. I apologize. As long as it's not during kiss and cry or during 6 min warmup, I say go ahead folks with the song.
