Remember the red and blue ones from media day last year?

So pleased that Sota got a host place at NHK.

The music is too important to him for a clumsy cut. Even when the music wasn’t something I liked (NDP, PotO) the way it was put together was good- best Phantom I’ve ever heard.

I still think of it as an artistic progression so it makes no sense to me to leave out the initial inspiration - the first part of the equation if you like.

I’m sad if there’s to be no musical reference to Nijinsky - I like scheherezade, but I wouldn’t mind a different one - there are several to choose from.

The trouble is Scheherazade is the musical reference to Nijinski - he could use another iconic music like L’apres midi d’un Faun or Petruschka if he can get them to mesh.

I hope they can find new partners if that’s what they want...

I loved R&J 2- less so NDP and Ziguenerweisen - think it’s better if he gets his designer to do a costume to be on the safe side - elements of Johnny perhaps but not the undiluted version.

He looks as though he’s having a great time - so does Brian. Shortening the set up for his jumps - is this going to be his way of dealing with the missing 30s? He can do 3A from a standstill after all. Not even first pancake - making the batter. He’s figuring out how to work within the new rules - and he’s going to enjoy working on 4A I can can understand some people being meh about the music choices, especially those who don’t like plushy and Johnny - but he owes nothing to anyone and it’s great to see him freed from the crushing need to fulfil expectations. I’d like to think that if he’d chosen Roxanne I would have posted one whinge and let it go ( not sure about that one but.... I would have tried)

I don’t know how he does it - I’d be curled up in a ball and wedged under the bench. It’s a far cry from those uncomfortable photos at Sochi.

Nijinsky will be fabulous - less convinced by Otonal - seems a bit ....flat?.....but he’s probably chopped it around to make it more interesting - can’t wait to see!!!!!
