  1. I totally would do it, just to troll. I have absolutely no use for NFL football whatsoever. Rugby all the way. Yuzu for fly half on the Brave Blossoms! Yea!
  2. I was thinking he's referring to a 5-quad program
  3. Yes, that's me. For clarity's sake: "Por una cabeza" always reminds me of this scene:
  4. I can't hear that music without seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis' tango in True Lies. Okay I have no idea why my post did this.
  5. I think it's an internet game on Twitter that the Japanese fans are doing...they've taken photos of Habu-san* and Yuzu in similar poses and put them together for comedic effect. *Habu-san is a famous Japanese shogi player/ personality whose name is spelled with the exact same kanji as Yuzu's. And he's a big Yuzu fan. His wife has said in an interview that he gets excited every time he sees the Hanyu kanji in the newspaper, but when it turns out to be a story about himself instead, his excitement turns into disappointment right away. They famously met at the Emperor's garden party after the 2018 Olympics. Habu-san has also won the People's Honor award, just like Hanyu.
  6. Oh, those are fantastic! I love the one with Habu-san holding all the roasted fish and put together with PW...
  7. I think an English speaker might use "enchanting" or "enthralling" to convey a similar meaning. I noticed that about the shape of the characters echoing Yuzu's positions. One of the nice things about kanji is that they are simultaneously letters and drawings. And the modern calligraphy you're showing here definitely embraces that. Incidentally, I learned the most wonderful word yesterday: 木漏れ日 (komorebi) , meaning the sunlight that filters through the leaves of the trees. So lovely and poetic. It has nothing to do with Yuzu though...well maybe it reminds me of Hope&Legacy a bit.
  8. Ah, he is indeed bewitching... the perfect word! 'Beguiling' also works
  9. Yikes. A 35-year-old Russian skater has been injured. It doesn't say who, but I hope they recover fully. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2020/jan/08/skater-injured-youth-olympics-opening-ceremony
  10. Oh Holy Hannah...he gets handsomer with every photo! It's killing me, guys.
  11. I don't know...will have to check. 2 hours later: yeah, nothing leaps out at me on their Instagrams or twitter except that they both like dogs. there's a couple of images of Nam with pandas in the K&C, and he tweeted a pic of a Naruto-themed banner someone made for him, but no themes of any sort for Keegan that I can find just by googling. Anyone else know?
  12. Not bad for a man who never competed in ice dance...! Who here is attending Canadian Nationals? I'm on the fence about it, but if I don't go, then I'd like to find a volunteer to hold my "Go Roman!" sign up and toss Doraemon at him. If anyone's up for it. (I might include my 'Go Nam!/Go Keegan!/Vas-y Nicholas!' signs too..) New Romsky video is up on YouTube, featuring Nam.
  13. Anyone know who's lifting her? And yes, she's very brave... couldn't pay me to do that!
  14. If the Gala is the same day as the free skate, then if he's being sensible he should pick Swanyu as it's the least demanding of his Exes, physically speaking. Doing Chopin in that case would a be a big flex.
  15. My favorite is the LGC slide photo. It's his facial expression that makes it perfect - the face of a man absorbed in the ecstasy of performance...perfect!
  16. I didn't realize quite how powerful the White Legend music was until this video made it obvious. I agree, Yuzu could do so much more with that program now. That being said, watching all these StepSeq side by side makes it really obvious how much Yuzu loves the Otonal one. He just flies through it with absolute gusto.
  17. So after watching that, I'm thinking that I'd love to see him do Etude now. I think with his current maturity as an artist, he'd be able to give it so much more expression and beauty than before
  18. We actually don't know what the case is here because all we know is that traces were found in one of her samples. How the cocaine got there still has not been uncovered. In the short term, cocaine raises the user's alertness, attention, and energy levels. I can think of sports where those would be considered advantages. I'm not saying that's the case here, just that I could envision a situation where an athlete might be tempted.
  19. That's amazing. He's so perfectly on the note. Yes please!
  20. Depends on the type of doping. Nordic skiing has had several blood-doping scandals that started with the guilty parties being caught redhanded in the act, but in general you are correct.
  21. Anyway, if he decides to go with stroking exercises, I hope the organizers give him a mic so he can turn it into a little mini lecture on how to skate properly...
  22. Interesting. That's not what I read. Hisashi is apparently infamous for not letting people use his music and Yuzu had to go through quite a process to be granted a rare exception, is the story I read. It was a translated interview from somebody's tumblr so it may or may not have been correct. In any case, I would be extremely surprised if full length H&L showed up at 4CC as the Ex.
