I knew it! Suga might be an even bigger little shit than Jimin. I guess not conclusive, but between this and the little hint he gave during his Vlive, it's a pretty solid guess that the tattoo is over his heart. Which is so sweet but also means we'll likely never see it

Jin has picked the best Hyung role model - prioritizing accessibility over exorbitant profit. How cute is it that Chris continually keeps Wotteo close to his heart. Lol, if Chris were a kpop idol, they'd be getting shipped right now

Yay Jimin! Born idol!

We're still getting poor air quality warnings and suggestions to limit travel. Reminds me that we're really not that far away from each other. Thought this was cute. Reminds me of that baseball joke

I'm curious to hear how Jin/Hobi's training compared to the rest of the guys. They were crazy thin when they went in and bulked up a lot during basic training and are both doing so well. They're all already super fit so not sure how much the rest will get from all this bulking up. lol. Jimin being an impish little tease even in his free time. He was born to be an idol with the way he's able to work a crowd

Some early predictions for MMA awards I imagine Jimin will be best male artist winner. The Astronaut is my favorite song of the solos, but I don't think it should be Jin just because the others made multiple quality songs whereas Jin just had the single. I think Suga had the strongest overall album followed by RM, but Jimin had the most success and I think in these Asian award shows, they look at things beyond music and Jimin is arguably the most popular member in Asia. I'm predicting NewJeans for Best Song since they created a lot of buzz this year. The song is horrible but I assume it's to Asian taste since it did so well. TBH, as much as I always want our guys to do well, I'm not all that sad if Dreamers doesn't get it. To me, it's only a mediocre song. I don't know what the difference between SOTY and Best song is. I don't get why "Like Crazy" is nominated for SOTY but not Best Song.

hardcore speculation on Twitter. ... the timing is suspicious...

Not bad for a song with no promo or music video and completely sabotaged by Billboard rules More on the BTS economic impact

lol. I was just reading hate comments on Twitter about how “Take 2” made no noise and signalled BTS’s fall. I admit, I did not think it would do this well but so glad to see a deserving song get #1

Also saw this. Just thought it was funny how the Fanyus react to Pop Base compared to Army. Every time there's a music vote, Army follows to vote then announces that it's time to unsubscribe again, lol. But still, it's super cool to see Yuzu get mentioned in a pop culture account. I wonder if Yuzu will ever do one of those pro-ams in the future. That Elle cover is And another one of those Korean beauty articles. The different cultural beauty standards are interesting. In the West, those are called under eye bags and people get surgery to remove them. In Korea and Japan, it's Aegyo-Sal and people get them added. I also always thought it was odd how ever minute detail of a person's appearance is judged in Korea, but no one seems to care about ears sticking out over there. I think Tae normally ranks higher on the beauty lists than Jin even in Korea and both Tae and Cha Eunwoo have big ears that stick out while over here, people are paying to pin them back. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2023/06/korean-plastic-surgeon-reveals-that-jin-and-chaeunwoo-are-the-most-requested-celebrity-faces-among-male-clients

2 more examples of BTS being the best ambassadors. I wonder how much all the members gets paid vs. how much additional revenue they bring to the company. I was wondering just last week whether Jin ramyun managed to pass Shin (which was long time #1). It's pretty obvious that the only reason Jin finally managed to get #1 in the Ramyun industry is because of "our" Jin. My favorite Korean food youtubers have recommended Jin ramyun but I could only find it on Amazon by the case so didn't pull the trigger on it until Seokjin became the face. I wish I could afford Valentino, lol. Suga looked so elegant in his fit. I hope Jin really does get Cartier.

I'm glad he likes it, but that caricature looks absolutely nothing like him. If the artist drew Tae's lips that big, then Jin, Jimin, and Joon's would be going off the page

Love the outfit other than the color. Hobi looks best in really vibrant colors. If the suit was in red it would be perfect. I voted but unfortunately it doesn't let you skip categories so I ended up picking people based on things like prettiest, most interesting hair, etc. They also spelled Jimin's name wrong. But it's good to see them recognized in all sorts of formats and locations. RollingStone gave some love to Jimin and Suga. There're no numbers next to the listings so I think this is just meant to be a group of albums they like rather than a ranking. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/best-albums-of-2023-so-far-1234766016/suga-1234766741/ "Face" is in the 28-36 section "D-Day" is in the 64-72 section Came across this post yesterday. I know that JK said that Jin had the widest vocal range of the members, but I didn't expect a 5 octave belting range . The highest belted notes I can remember are in Crystal Snow and the lowest I remember are in Dionysus - but I didn't know enough about music to really understand what that meant. As a reference, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston has a 5 Octave range and the other BTS vocalists are 3+ but less than 4 octaves (which is still impressive). ETA: just came across a site that says Whitney's range was 3 octaves, acknowledging the sites that say 5 octaves but says that the other sites haven't provided any proof of the 5 octaves. Taylor Swift has a 3 octave range but sings much of it in falsetto and Justin Bieber and Oliva Rodrigo barely more than 2. It seems most popular singers are ~3 octaves.

I definitely enjoyed this more than "The Planet". I'm disappointed that there was no music video or subtitles for it but I guess I understand. Hopefully they'll add subtitles later.

I'm such a bad Army. I just listened to this. This is the smoothest I've heard Suga's singing voice ever be. It's so smoky and sultry. Love the video - totally suits the video game vibe and Halsey and Suga both look so hot! My only nitpick is that I wish it had a bit of a stronger ending. Random thought: it's weird to me that Suga never gets embroiled in dating rumors while JK is shipped with everyone, their mothers, and their brothers.

I'm 100% sure that I would get the absolute worst score. Most of the time I just let the music run without looking at the song name. I didn't even realize Boy in Luv was a title track or what song was which at the Yoongi concert.

Seoullite TV has tips on how to get the BTS stamps if you're not Korean at 3:50 followed by a rant on BTS not getting military exemption when so many less worthy did. Also, more info about the military nurse. Keep in mind that this guy has a tendency toward the dramatic though.

I. NEED. THIS!!!! I've suspected it's true ever since YG gave that statement when those photos got leaked. The way they worded it condemned the hacking of the photos but didn't deny that the photos were real. If it's true, I'm happy for them if they've found love. The JiKooker's must be ecstatic over the news. Has he officially gotten the role? Lol, all the Tannies will be competing for most military titles. I definitely think Hobi is more suited to be a training assistant just because I think he's more comfortable being stern with people. So far, I think Jin has assistant trainer, dorm leader, and Private 1st class. Can you imagine having Hobi as dorm leader? He'll make you scrub the floor with a toothbrush.

Lol, I genuinely hope it's true

Off topic, but saw this today and remembered that we were discussing it at the time. TW: discussion of death

I think it's on Disney Plus too. The only place I see anywhere close to my area is 45 minutes away at a Marcus Theaters. When I search on AMC, there's info about it but no show times so not sure what's going on there. I don't think BTS is very popular in Minnesota. I'm going to keep checking AMC in hopes that there'll be one closer to me

I took 3 years of Spanish in high school and retained a good amount but our Spanish program was terrible so that's not saying much. Been trying on and off with different programs to improve it but I keep losing motivation so I'm essentially just relearning the same thing over and over. I think Yuzu has turned us all into old Victorian ladies
