  1. A summary of all the Tae events And another tidbit about how great our guys are. There's plenty of entertainers with material I enjoy, but I can only be a fan of good hearted people.
  2. okay. That's the exception, lol. That short cut looks hot.
  3. Can't remember if this was already shared. Dang, Tae is busy!
  4. I thought the same thing until the W Korea photo shoot, when I immediately noticed he looked different. Up until then, I've only seen him with his hair covering the tops of his ears. Makes me think it was relatively recently. Sort of like how Tae always wore bangs, bandanas, and hats for most of his career then suddenly he was wearing styles that exposed his forehead often - it looks like he got his hairline lowered somewhere around the "On" era (because you can see the baby hairs growing out). I know he was always self conscious about his forehead so it didn't surprise me that he changed that but I've never seen the ears be listed as part of Korean beauty standards or even be a subject of ridicule online so I'm a little surprised that he got those done, though I recall JK teasing him about the ears on their 1st or 2nd Festa. He still would have been handsome with his natural ears and hairline, but he carries himself with so much more confidence since he got them done so I say more power to him. Jin was also on Running Man. It was a lot of fun to watch - sort of like a Run BTS type show - but it seemed unfair to get Kim Jong-kook on your team for the physical strength events. I was watching a Reactor and he was talking about how the Maknae line + RM have F-boy faces while Hobi, Jin, and Suga have more sweet faces. I think JK looks more cute and sweet with the short hair but more sexy and manly with the longer hair.
  5. Holy crap! Proof is still charting! I'm still trying to figure out all these charts. Jimin was #2 on the Billboard 200, which is the best selling albums in the US. But I don't see anything about him on the World Album chart? Suga got #2, blocked by F'n Morgan Wallen, but wiki is saying that "world music" is music not from the West? And Indigo was #1 on the World Album chart 3 weeks in a row.
  6. BTW, Seven is in its 6th week at #1 on the Global 200 and Global excl US. https://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2023/08/28/jung-kook-still-claims-the-biggest-hit-in-the-world-after-more-than-a-month/?sh=4adbdbc248ce I assumed it would get bumped off next week, but Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez's songs aren't doing as well as I thought they would. Both their music videos only have 11 M views and I don't see either of them on the top of many charts https://kworb.net/charts/ Of course, I don't know how many sales they've had so Seven might still get bumped off but JK is looking good based on streaming. and it doesn't look like BlackPink's release is going to do much of anything
  7. I suspect that he's gotten his ears pinned back at some point in his life. The top half of his ears lay flatter than they used to and ears don't naturally change shape except to get bigger. (as usual, I'll mention that I don't think there's anything wrong with plastic surgery and is healthier than other socially accepted beauty practices like severe dieting, which most idols do regularly)
  8. My guess is that the tour won't be until 2026 but I don't want to feel restricted so I'm starting my savings now - I figure I'll probably have to travel so will make the concerts double as vacations. I'll have to get tips from @amylance1215 on how she's able to get into so many concerts I always keep The Astronaut on my playlist since it's my favorite of the solo songs and Jin doesn't have as many total streams as the others. Only 20 streams a day count for the charts so there's plenty of time to stream for the charts as well as personal favorites and group goals (I keep the playlist going when I'm sleeping and working) Right now, I'm also including anything that's still charting worldwide + Respect, N.O., Born Singer, and Cypher Part 3 because Proof and Map of the Soul: 7 are the closest to getting all the songs to 100 million and I think that would extend our record as the most albums with all songs to 100 million. Also, Jimin, Jin, Suga, and Hobi all are considered million album sellers - still weird to me that The Astronaut is considered an album - and BTS is the only group that's achieved this. RM is about 180k away. Such a shame considering it's such a high quality album. I really hope that eventually all the members can hit that million seller mark - hopefully we can do it for RM on his new release. I'm going to be hopeful that the increase in sales with each release has more to do with momentum rather than the fandom being so splintered.
  9. Save up your money ladies! I'm working a double time shift tomorrow that's going straight to my ticket fund.
  10. The one "positive" aspect of this article is that at least it acknowledges that fans of Western artists do it too. They should change the line to "fans of every major star" because that's the truth. And if every major star has fan clubs like this, then it's an even playing field so they should let the chips fall where they may rather than rewarding the artists who are willing to pay for radio play
  11. They should have either had the barricade, if there was one, further back so no one was anywhere close to the car, or had more security guards forming a bigger barrier around V. I do kind of feel for the security guards. Obviously first priority is safety of the artist, but in this hyper woke, cancel culture world, they have to balance imminent threat with the perception to the artist. They can be fired for letting someone get too close to the artist, but they can also be fired if they're perceived as being overly aggressive and causing a scandal. More Scooter stuff: This article is saying that Scooter is stepping back from management to focus on being CEO of Hybe America. Truthfully, I think this is the most plausible explanation for why people are leaving at the same time. If anything I hear about CEO's is true, he can't possibly have time to properly manage an artist while fulfilling his duties to the company. https://www.buzzfeed.com/natashajokic1/scooter-braun-drama-explained?d_id=6239989&ref=bffbbuzzfeed&utm_source=dynamic&utm_campaign=bffbbuzzfeed&fbclid=IwAR1kJ8yYsuSiRjWOcsdrxhgJBcbaJNHpnB5XoPYOGhC90-uo0d-7k4riqY0
  12. ... I just now realized that the design behind the BTS symbol spell out PROOF ... ETA: more tidbits about Scooter (I need to figure out how @rockstaryuzu got the emojii)
  13. ah. I forgot that you don't have a working account on there anymore. I was trying to find the percentages of each round but I don't think Audacy displays them. The lack of transparency makes me question the integrity of the vote. No one's going to convince me that there are more Morgan Wallen fans than Suga fans so if Suga loses, I'm just going to assume it's rigged. Though for the most engagement, you would think that Audacy would put JK and Taylor on opposite sides to get Army and Swifties battling it out. I know that can still happen, but I think we all know that JK has more solos than Suga does. ETA: I wonder if I'm missing something in the instructions. I literally don't see a single vote for Wallen or Taylor in the comments. Does it only count if you do a separate tweet? Then Audacy should specify that
  14. A clear cash grab, but Audacy is the U.S.'s 2nd largest radio company. might be worth it to vote if it actually helps our guys get on the radio. Though I'm convinced that it's mostly back room deals that get radio play.
  15. and only indirect related to BTS
  16. O. M. G. ! I'm greedy though. I want to see the front then I can die happy
  17. A couple days earlier than expected, but we got our August Jinnie! https://weverse.io/bts/media/4-129120997
  18. It makes total sense to me. It's sort of like how Nathan can do quads but he skates like a truck driver roller blading through mud. Jin is actually very flexible while Hobi is average to above average in flexibility. But Jin appears extremely stiff while dancing while Hobi is the personification of fluidity. The difference is that Hobi's fundamentals are so much better. Just like Hobi is never going to be the contemporary dancer that Jimin is and Jimin won't be the street dancer that Hobi is, in spite of them both being insanely talented dancers. They've both spent years perfecting the fundamentals of their particular craft and it affects all their movements. I'm curious how it'll go. Suga took similar classes and his dancing looks amazing now (it always was pretty good though so he doesn't have as far to go as RM). Otoh, for many people, it's harder to break a habit than it is to form a new one and the first step in RM's lessons is going to be breaking 10 years of doing it the "wrong" way. a rant about the fandom under spoiler
  19. I love the little soldier charm on his bag and the cutesy decorations. His skin looks beautiful too and I like the little extra weight on him. I'm still trying to figure out the whole Special Warrior thing. I keep reading on Twitter that only Jin and one other idol got it. But I also read that EXO's Chanyeol got it and others got "Special Forces", which I guess might be a different thing? Either way, it looks like this was a goal for them heading in so here's hoping that Hobi gets it whenit's his time.
  20. Rocky really is freakin adorable - I looked at a lot of Pom pics and I think Yeontan and Rocky are 2 of the cutest. I'd be ecstatic if my dog got chosen to hang out with V. Here's the Instagram post from the owner.
  21. Anyone else scrutinizing every picture of Yeontan now? After @Luminous pointed out what to look for, I think Yeontan is pretty distinctive looking but I still double check to make sure we're not getting cat fished.
  22. Thought this was hilarious: JK's been so active on social media since the members started enlisting. lol, love his cheeky side. Namjoon is attractive and admirable for his nobility and sexy brain, but he's so endearing for moments like these: @rockstaryuzu Do you remember when you wanted to make a Tshirt based off of that Drake meme? And I think we should put our money on getting Jin's monthly message on the 22nd
  23. Unfortunately no. My best guest is that maybe it's a behind the scene from Rookie King? It's early in their career and it has that silly vibe but I don't remember it from the actual show I can't tell by the tweet what it's from, but yes, normally when V wins them, it's a public opinion poll since those tend to be the result of a combination of popularity + physical traits. The exception is specifically in Korea or Japan - Cha Eunwoo normally wins in Korea and Jin often wins in Japan. Any time it's decided by some sort of algorithm, scientific standard, or comparing to classical beauty standards, Jin always wins. When it's a staff pick, I think JK usually wins. Other times it's just an individual's ranking, in which case it could be any one of them. But I'm always thrilled whenever RM and Hobi get picked high no matter what the method since their self esteem spent so many years getting the beat down over their looks. So sad that Rapmon died. He wasn't that much younger than the average life expectancy for an American Eskimo but it's always crushing to lose a pet. My first cat got cancer when he was only 8 years old and I bawled my eyes out. Honestly, the pets are the thing that make me the saddest about military enlistment. The members seem like they've always accepted enlistment. The fans have plenty of content. But to the pets, their humans are the center of their world and they're losing them for a large percentage of their life. I remember Jin talking about crying when he got the call about Jjangu dying while he was on the road and I think bout how old Mickey is and there's a good chance he might die while Hobi is in the military. I would be so incredibly sad to think my pet died thinking that I had abandoned him.
  24. Wow! congrats and I'm impressed that you can remember the day. I can't remember the exact date - I should have written it on the calendar but I didn't know it would have been so momentous at the time. It was either the very end of September or beginning of October because I remember it was nearing the end of BTS's Fallon week in 2020 - luckily I at least remembered the event so I can google my anniversary. I like to work with Youtube on in the background and I was busy so when the Youtube algorithm chose them, I left it on. "On" at Grand Central station hooked me then "Carpool Karaoke" cemented my love. I guess I'm a stereotypical Westerner because Namjoon was the first one to capture my heart. I could immediately tell he was highly intelligent and as a sapiosexual, that was highly engrossing and then I started watching videos one after the other. Lol, I wasn't very productive the entire months of October and November. ETA: this is extra notable because it was tweeted by the World Music Awards ETA 2: and this just made me laugh
  25. SBS, they look quite different. I guess the coloring of the video helped cover up that Rocky's tan colors are darker than Yeontan's. I'm so impressed that @Luminous caught so many differences between them just from the video. My reaction was more like - I know they're different, but I can't really put my finger on why. Rocky is freaking adorable though. I wonder if he's full grown. He still has a puppy like quality to him. But I remember Tae was playing with a white Pom and being surprised that she was fully grown because she was so much smaller than Yeontan. I like when animals have that little chest that puffs out - my cat Happy has a protruding bone there and we think it's just the cutest thing how he always looks so proud of himself. And I guess Yeontan doesn't really have a resting bitch face. I just thought he did because all the meme's show him looking judgmental. Happy go lucky Yeontan is just as cute as bitchy Yeontan. ETA: did you guys see that the view points on Youtube for Tae's Love Me Again are getting credited to another artist? I saw it on Facebook rather than Twitter. And I tried to add Tae's songs to my playlists on Spotify and they're not coming up. I get podcasts instead?
