D'aww Congrats Yuzu! He is the only figure skater on this list, right? But also, I saw Brian What's he awarded for?
-
But see? He doesn't exist. Anyway, JSF is wacked

PS: A certain someone doesn't seem to exist in JSF's recount of FS eras...

I think it doesn't mean much. Yuzu hasn't confirmed officially yet, so let's wait PS: I just read an article that said Yuzu is aiming for Beijing gold although he hasn't confirmed anything about Beijing
-
Yeah, but either way it makes sense Anywho, did Scott say that? Remind me of a certain someone who basically said "not that judge again " while meeting Nomura Mansai-san

I don't know how to feel about it. Off-topic a little bit, the Canada team may not attend at all. Does that mean they will not have spots for Beijing altogether? If they can still qualify, say, based on the results from the previous year (not ideal, but still), what's the use of risking it all to go to Sweden?

There we go! The first federation to speak up about potential withdrawal

If he indeed was involved in the design of these boxes then he can add a new skill to his resume: graphic designer (for Xylitol)
-
The release of a new line of chewing gum also becomes the news Anyway, it seems that this one is designed by Yuzu??? (or is it revamped with his images from the latest comps on the cover?) We can talk about this while we wait for official confirmation from him This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

Although it is still way too early but happy birthday May your future birthday be full of joy (and things work in Yuzu's favor if he goes, no matter what)

I mean, practice is one thing, official comps are a different beast altogether. Isn't it very uncommon to have comps in the morning? Oh well, NBC poured billions into the Olympics, gotta satisfy them I guess... Anyway, at least there is a day in between like you said, so that's good. PS: the ladies got the normal schedule, so heh PS2: it is very courageous of you to say out loud that team events are lame...

Probably a bit early to discuss this but Beijing schedule was just released. Schedule for the Men's event looks pretty bad. Was it like this in Pyeongchang also? PS: I couldn't find it anymore but someone pointed out that all the events in which the US is more likely to medal are arranged to fit in prime time Oh well.... Yeah And how is one in charge of everything??? (I'm looking at Eteri here) I do wonder if it is unique to Sambo-70 or common in other skating clubs too? This is toxic and total madness

It's true that we don't know yet who will choreograph his FS, but my hunch is he will work with Shae-Lynn. I really am a bit concerned about Shae-Lynn's work this year. But Iike, Masquerade was terrific, so hopefully if Shae-Lynn and Yuzu work together for the long, the result will be as, if not more, terrific.
-
yes, Wakaba too, and off to Korea, maybe Jun, if COVID didn't happen. Honestly, I feel conflicted: On one hand, Shae-Lynn said she has no problem choreographing online, but her new programs for the season have been so far more of a miss than a hit for me. Even the programs which she supposedly could choreograph offline are kind of "eh...." On the other hand, Masquerade was choreographed online and it turned out to be excellent. Of course, the athletes and coaching team are huge factors as well, but even so... Anyway, I sincerely hope Yuzu and Shae-Lynn will make it work.
-
There's an interview with Shae-Lynn Bourne recently. Her originally plan was to go to Japan and Korea in May, following WC. I don't know, I have the feeling that part of her trip in Japan would have been for Yuzu. Maybe she will still choreograph his new FS? Just a feeling.

I linked to the original post yesterday, but then found out that it was taken from jisin.jp, which publishes a lot of tabloids and stuff (so I hid/retracted my link). Also stalking Yuzu in Sendai some months ago? I think it's them I don't think Yuzu's advisor knows about this bad side of the newspapers which he gave interview to tho Anyway, the good news is the article itself is written by a credible journalist with clear, trackable sources and quotes, and the contents, as we all see, are excellent. Thanks @Anni for linking them here. Another good news is his thesis receives good words from professors elsewhere, like here And Yuzu himself is fondly talked about by his advisor, as evident here: This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

2020/2021 Season Program Announcements
Melodie replied to sallycinnamon's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
I think they probably will start with kneeling down, not lying down. It's pretty close.
