  1. I wonder if he tweeted this knowing what happened well enough. Were people in the stand able to hear the conversation between Serena and the referee? I've read that even Naomi wasn't fully aware of what's going on during the game because the audience was so loud.
  2. Sena was named after F1 driver Ayrton Senna da Silva, who is known in Japan as セナ, which is pronounced as sena. Don't know why he chose the music though. ETA: On his back, I see a word "Yareru" which means "I can do it" so maybe this costume and music were chosen to encourage himself...
  3. Finally caught up with this thread and this is the first post after a month... Happy 4K pages! I wasn't/will not be able to contribute much to adding the page count because I have things to finish until ACI, but looking forward to witnessing his new season here! By the way, Figure Skate TV tonight features domestic competitions held this summer and Yuzu's open practice so we'll see footage of other skaters too. Hope we'll get some new footage of Origin and Otonal too...
  5. Thank you for the new link! Nice to be able to see it in HD video So he's skating to Nessun Dorma this time I wonder what music he'll skate to next time...
  6. Song Nan seems to be coaching in Qingdao. Great to know how he is doing now
  7. Missed the video on youtube. Is this the same video? Huawei and Javi have been making my days bright this August...
  8. I've read that there were a big earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia tonight. Is there any satellite in the affected area? Hope you are OK and aftershocks will subside soon.
  9. I guess the guy is Takumi Suenaga and we are talking about the same person. This is an excerpt from a local news show which includes an interview with the Ice Rink Sendai skaters and he was one of them. It would be really nice if they and Yuzu had gotten together in this project...
  10. Thank you for sharing. Here is the gist of what was new in the videos: The theme of 24 TV this year is "The person changed your life," so the announcer asked Yuzu what changed his life. He answered, "In a sense, it is Ice RInk Sendai because if it weren't near my home, I would not have started figure skating." He said he could not imagine his life without starting figure skating. The boy who took the picture of the parade is Hiroto Honda, who was 4 years old when the quake hit Sendai. He started figure skating 2 years later seeing Yuzu's performance in Japanese Nationals 2013. He wanted to start figure skating because Yuzu's skating was beautiful and he looked so fun while performing. Hiroto is aiming to encourage people in Japan and give them hope with his performance. By the way, Yuzu knew about the who's the crappiest cameraman contest held on Twitter after the parade. He knew how it was tough for a little boy to take such a picture in a crowd. Also, it seems that Disney on Ice held in Sendai in 2011 too, to encourage kids in the area affected by the quake and tsunami. I think a few skaters from Ice RInk Sendai is joining Disney on Ice tour after retirement, though I'm not sure they are joining this show. Nanami Sensei also took part in Disney on Ice tour when she was younger.
  11. XXIII Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 (10) Feb.19, 2018 Reports on his win, studio interviews Feb.20 Short interview with Brian, promo clip for Olympic concert Feb.21, 2018 First official practice after winning the gold medal
  12. Keiji skated in Nishinomiya Ice Arena for their fifth anniversary. The reporter Kokoro Iwamoto was also a competitive figure skater who had been competing at the national level until last season. After 1:30 you can see autographs of many well-known skaters including Yuzu, Nobu, Honda sisters displayed in the building.
  13. NHK will start airing programs filmed with super high-vision technology later this year, so they often hold 4K and 8K screenings to promote it. This is their explanation of 8K, though I'm not sure it's helpful... I've seen Men's highlights, EX at PyeonChang and NHK special exhibition held in 2016 in one of their screenings. The high definition footages sometimes made me feel like I was standing right behind the boards of the rink which I think was where the cameraman was standing. This 8K screening will be held in Osaka (Sep. 7-9), Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Matsuyama, and Fukuoka too. source
  14. Pooh made of paper flowers in another Tanabata Festival held in Oita
  15. Stunning photos of Haru yo koi by Yukihito Taguchi From which one of FaOI I'm not sure
  16. Another photo posted by Shingo Nishiyama. It seems like Shion Kamata visited TCC with Shingo's former coach Yutaka Higuchi, a long time friend of Brian and David and the person who supported Yuzu when he moved to TCC.
  17. I don't know where to post this but since it is information about a coach...
  18. According to "Team Brian," first media day was held in August of 2013 to deal with the press in one go to make it possible for them to focus on training after that. (An article based on the interviews given on the day) But as some of you said, in that year Yuzu held an open practice in Sendai too, maybe to start his Olympic season from there? There was an open practice in 2012 and TV Asahi aired it, but it probably wasn't like other open practices held later to gather the press at once if Brian didn't mention it as the first media day.
