I am so tired of the USF and US hyping of their American skaters. ...so tired of their attempt to rewrite skating perspective through an American jaundiced lens. Give credit where credit is DUE!! Yuzu is the most beautiful skater I have ever seen...an artist who is a phenomenal athlete! His movements are ineffably beautiful, his arms, hands, fingers...entire body expresses wonderfully.

Was it a German commentator at WC 2019 FS? To paraphrase, he couldn't understand how Nathan scored higher than Yuzu: he finally concluded that Nathan's score was 'just a number'. In this situation, Yuzu succeeded in "I want to give the kind of performances that stays in their hearts." Similarly, the ISU ranking is just a number

Yuzu is a coach's dream skater, and Yuzu has trained with Brian for over 7 seasons...there is a relationship bond.

Brian has his plate full with Yuzuru and Evgenia now as primary coach..and there was Javi before the Olympics as well. When you have worldclass athletes and champions who have trained with you for years....one cannot expect Brian to prioritize Stephen.

While in Japan, I was quite impressed with the Japanese quality of skincare and makeup....even brands that I have never heard of. And the pricepoint was a bonus. A eyeliner pencil indistinguishable from Stila in quality was 20% less and taxfree to boot I have Kose's powders, foundations(high end and economy), some blush, eye pencils...so I would definitely recommend. And Japanese brushmakers are THE best!!

Yup. ISU and judges trying to 'tell' us that Nathan deserves to be so many points more than Yuzu in the Worlds 2019 FS. AND NOPE...I ain't drinking that koolaid!!!

For some of Yuzu's spin positions, they require great flexibility, strength/stamina or body control or a combination of these requirements to perform beautifully! Which is why most men can not get into the positions, Yuzu does. BTW: happy anniversary to Planethanyu!!

outrageous highway robbery in broad daylight! I love Yuzu's World 2019 FS but I am still feeling bitter about ISU figure skating judging of the event! I can honestly say that when Yuzu retires from competitive skating....I am done spending big $$$, my vacation hours and traveling to comps.

thank you for this topic and the answers....I loved reading this thread...although the eyes became a little misty here and there. Yuzu would make a wonderful ambassador for Japan and seriously would have a successful diplomatic career!

I truly don't think Yuzu cares too much about nonskating, non headphone 'stuff'. He doesn't even cut his hair regularly...his sideburns are usually a little shaggy and overlong. I always have the urge to trim them for him and tidy them up. It is the Mom in me. His physique reminds me of my youngest son....jeans are superhard to find ....as he is a 27 inch waist...and tall. When the length is right, the waist is too big and if the waist fit, the length was too short. I believe we only found one brand of jeans that actually fit and of course, it was super expensive..200-300 dollars.

I recognize this background....there was a video where Yuzu was removing his long sleeved under armour top...and everyone in the background was mesmerized: Stephane, the redheaded lady and Danlil(?right spelling) one of the Russian coaches because he looked beautiful(aka as jawdropping, breathtakingly gorgeous)!! Both sexes were transfixed watching him do something as mundane as remove a practice top.
