Thanks, you guys are the best! I wonder why they took the video down; it sounds like it was a great interview. I do hope though that whatever Yuzu chooses about Beijing, it's what he wants to do. I really don't want him to feel pressured about whether he should go for a three-peat or not.

Nooo I missed it! What else did Plushenko say?

This is my first real off season, and I have a bad feeling it's going to give me some unrealistic expectations. That being said, bring it on!

I'm really excited about this. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some different types of programs from her. And hasn't Zhenya mentioned before that she wants to show many kinds of styles in her skating? I LOVED her ex at Euros and can't wait to see what she'll do next season! -

With Zhenya joining Brian, TCC is really becoming a powerhouse for skaters, isn't it? I wonder who's going to be next... Please let it be Boyang.... -

That was an interesting read! Thanks for sharing! I read this today and thought it might be interesting to add to the conversation: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/2018/05/04/275097820. I don't think we have anything like this in the US right now. It sounds like a pretty cool idea!

Poll - When/How did you become a fan of Yuzu?
Coquelicot replied to PomeloPooh's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
It was Helsinki for me too. I had actually missed all of the Sochi Olympics since I was studying abroad and didn't really have TV access. Since I was a four-year skating fan, Yuzu completely flew under my radar. Then, last year I "liked" The Japan Times on fb since I was getting into learning Japanese and saw they posted some language bits from time to time. Of course they eventually wrote about the Hope & Legacy fs at Worlds, and I watched the skate out of curiosity. It blew me away. For some reason, I couldn't stop rewatching it. Even though I didn't know anything about skating, there was just something so pure and otherworldly about the way he skated. The movements and the effortlessness--it's like the ice is an extension of himself! From there on, I watched older performances and then all the exs and interviews. I tried to watch other skaters, but it just wasn't the same. But Yuzu made me want to learn more about the sport and know the other competitors, so I started watching the competitions once the skating season started and learning all the technical elements and details (work in progress!). The funny thing is, the more you learn about the sport, the more you have a greater appreciation for what Yuzu actually does!!- 249 replies

http://soyouwanttowatchfs.tumblr.com/post/173454325710/agenda-of-the-57th-isu-congress - Highlighted proposals from the International fan FB group I'm wondering what the split judging panels for PCS and GOE would look like. Do you think this could be a good thing? (Newbie figure skating fan here ) Also, while I think that giving greater attention to PCS is good, I can't help but think about how PCS already isn't scored consistently, and too often it seems that the skaters' PCS/technical scores correlate to each other, even though they should be scored separately. I feel like this would give judges a lot of room to make subjective scoring decisions. -
Has anyone suggested Miyavi yet? Could be a nice sequel to LGC.

Hi everyone! I’m going to take the occasion to jump on the de-lurking train while it’s passing through. I discovered Yuzu after Hope & Legacy (Worlds 2017) and slowly quickly got sucked into the wormhole of the figure skating universe before happily ending up at Planet Hanyu for most of the past season. What a wild and crazy ride it’s been! Thanks for making the Planet such a happy place!
