I just want to say, I had a dream a few days ago about Yuzu skating to Empire of Angels (probably because I watched fan video just before, but... )
-
Seriously, why the boy posted this, I think I would be happier if I could go to sleep and wake up to the news? Lost case now
-
Well I can't even imagine the explosion when the actual programs are revealed
-
Aaaa, I wasn't expecting it today ;; I should go to sleep soon, but HOW now

Junior Skaters of 2018/19 season
airi replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
Sad for Yuhana, I really like her (and The Lion King SP is like +1000 always...). I guess it will depend how other girls do. I wonder if someone can challange Kostornaia in Austria. I'm curious about Alena Kanysheva, but when I watched a few domestic competitions a while ago she wasn't among my favourites from that sea of ladies... Ksenia Sinitsina definitely was, so I'm happy she got the assigment next week -
Julian with second spot Interesting. And I thought 12th spot at RC will be empty...
-
Daisuke Takahashi skated a program of his life that day and Yuzuru lost free program to him (in PCS really, the gap was huge between them these days), but won because of big point difference from SP. A lot of people thought he didn't deserve the win. Daisuke was definitely still considered Japan's no. 1 and his fans couldn'r really swallow it

And it's one of reasons I want it, no time to be overthink anything! Just take it like it is But ok that just me, I know Absolutely, from perspective I think a lot more people can see it that in that 2013/14 season or before, well, I was of course amazed by young Yuzuru by then, even already in 2011 when was the only time I actually got to see him skating in person, not to mention Worlds 2012. Olympic champions are forever in history books, but I don't think Olympic gold automatically makes someone a legend (anyone remember Lysacek or Sotnikova?). Or maybe my definition of a legend is a bit different . After Yuzu won in Sochi I didn't have that feeling yet, even though it was obvious that he will do a lot more amazing things. But. The moment for me was NHK. I envy those who had that moment sooner, really
-
I think I'm the only one who doesn't mind waiting for ACI for programs reveal I even think it will be cool if the first time we hear the music and see the actual program is ACI practice For Yuzuru legend status, I'd say it's defnitely NHK 2015. I remember watching it on TV live and I really couldn't believe what I see (I mean Seimei, I couldn't watch the SP live). For me, that Seimei at NHK changed the figure skating really, and certainly my view on it. GPF later, too, but I remember that moment after NHK Seimei like it was yesterday.

1. H&L's biellman spin OR Chopin's backcounter 3A 2. Seimei's one leg entry into a camel spin OR The Swan's combination sit spins 3. Change coach and compete for another 4 years OR Retire before the 19/20 season and go on a hiatus before returning as a coach in 2022 (only because I don't want to cheat in this ;;) 10. I hope she comes back... But it will be hard after a year, especially with the new rules...
-
Uh, really not a fan of Gabby's FS... I like her Carmen SP though, it really suits her I don't know how I feel about Keegan's programs yet... But I kind of adore the guy, so I hope he will do well this season
-
I will be amazed if she can keep it through growth spurt, tbh. And well, I'm excited to see a progress in sport, but on the other side I don't want to see these girls killing themselves... and possibly artistic side of fs And why exactly is she doing 3 quads? But well, she definitely is amazing.

Sasha what are you doing I'm scared.
-
What? A girl that can possibly land 4S3T and is actually really good skater is gonna represent my country? Didn't think something like this will happen in my lifetime

2018/2019 Season Program Announcements
airi replied to kaeryth's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
I think from the new programs from THE ICE I like Satoko's the most. Or maybe that is just that she looks so beautiful in that dress and this hair, I'm not sure Alina's music cut is kind of awful, really hard to understand why theey had to use so many songs in the short program. But still, program may be not so bad, at least her transitions definitely will be one of the best and she will still get every point she can, even without backloading bonus... Shoma's Moonlight Sonata is so weird. This definitely is too soft music for him. Too subtle maybe? In my opinion there really isn't a lot of skaters who could really do this piece justice... Yuzu could I like Marin's SP, but I hope she will... I don't know, let go more? It's potentially really good program... I sleep through most of Nathan's program, but choreo sequence was fun -
Carroll retiring from couching... It's like the end of an era. I wonder if Denis's tragic death influenced this decision, I heard they were quite close....

2018/2019 Season Program Announcements
airi replied to kaeryth's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
I really like most of the music choices revealed recently Especially for Marin (if choreo is good, I think I will root for her more than I thought), but also Satoko (and I liked maybe two of her competitive programs so far). And of course Tarakanova and Imagine Dragons, wow (whyyy is jr ladies field so deep...). Plus Kazuki doing Riverdance And I can't wait for Evgenia's programs, mostly for SP -

I hope the Orange Colored Sky SP for Zhenya happens, this is really nice! -
I'm in complete shock... how could something like this happen... Rest in peace.

Anna is a beautiful bride Regarding Alina: I don't want to sound like I think it's fine, but... that's sport. That's how most of the succesful athletes think, you may say it's radical, but that type of endurance, that often come with risking health, often makes a difference between winning medals or not. And for the athletes this is calculated risk... Alina may be 16, but she has her own mind, she wants this. She's not the only one with similar problem, you can be sure of it. And of course Alina could (and probably should), rest more and take care of that knee, but then she wouldn't have that career she has now. The athlete's choice...

Well, Daisuke announced this comeback literally on the first official day of the new season, so I don't think it had anything to do with Yuzu and his prize, but just that fact. Let's just wait and see? Either way, this will be very interesting. If he doesn't even try international competition, I will be dissappointed to be honest... I never was a big Dai fan but he should have the opportunity and shouldn't feel guilty about stealing spotlight from younger skaters. And I'd love if Nobu or Machida come back too, but obviously both of them have different priorities now.

Yeah, sorry, I have CBC version recorded, but OC I streamed on the page above (multiple times )

Poll: Yuzu's new ultra low Hydroblade - Did he kiss the ice?
airi replied to Danibellerika's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
My opinion for this very important question: no -
That would be great I have CBC and Olympic Channel versions, and well, Kurt Browning is amusing (and a little bit annoying in large doses) and I really like australian lady commenting for OC, but I love rewatching my favourite competitions with different commentaries And Yuzu looked really royal today Now, I hope, he goes back to Toronto to get the programs done
