I just mean that he might be acquiring new quads and be working on his technique, which could hurt him more. Eteri isn't the best at dealing with men's injuries, but yes, I doubt it will be worse due to summer camp on its own. ETA: what more do I have to do to get a fully-rotated 4A?

1. Wouldn't mind a technical program and an artistic program. Seems like they want more freedom in the free -- which is actually just a really long short program currently -- and I am for that. 2. Don't care about the judging, it's never been right, and even with this format, we'd need a few years before we get back the emphasis on basics and body line, so the presentation marks will be phoney anyway. 3. Would be skipping the technical program with their nonsense about levels and their non-stop efforts towards creating an abomination. It's simply not real figure skating currently that's going on in either the short or the long, and that's what this technical program will be. 4. Goodness knows what the skaters will be doing with their freedom, what kind of music and elements they'll be using, but I do *like* that they might have it, and have the fun they might have during practices. 5. Will tune out NBC if this happens, and if I'm still watching, because of certain reasons. 6. LOL, they discussed this and yet nothing about fixing the combo bonuses, and correcting the definitions for jump edges and rotations. Nice job.

Lori Nichol does get Boyang, lol. She's crafted good programs for him this last season, and pretty good short programs in general. He's growing as a skater and needs to find his own voice, as he's now doing, and in the process there will be failures. Maybe a change in choreographer would add to his skillset and overall talent, but it's not like we can throw the switch after pouring names into a blender.

Doesn't really have a skating style which would gel well. Her kind of dynamics wouldn't really be suited for him. I do think Bourne's preference for creating fresher, more modern pieces would be good for him, but specifically her kind of choreography I don't think would be good for him.

yeah... I think, unfortunately, what we've been predicting with his quads and Eteri's, we are seeing the very real results with in him.

Does Ilyinikh have ballet pedigree? I can't find it on her wikipedia page, and seems strange that they would hire her without any. She's obviously better than supposed "balletic" skaters, but still interested in finding out.
