  1. So that leaves... Eteri, Raf, and Orser summer camps, if he's really not going to Ouriashev.
  2. Uno's suffering from injuries, because of his technique. He is also losing consistency because of the way he jumps, finally not being able to uphold a 22 yo. He's dropped transitions, choreography, and overall skating quality in order to gain consistency, and it still didn't work out towards the end of last season and this. When has Eteri shown the ability to deal with injuries properly, or any of this stuff, before?
  3. Ah, did he also do A/P's Romeo and Juliet? That may be what I was remembering, it pops into my mind when I think of ID.
  4. Well, this, in specific: https://www.goldenskate.com/forum/showthread.php?80934-Interview-with-Daniil-Gleikhengauz (bolded) The third answer's bolded part especially is incorrect, since the "program with an idea" is not an invention of the Tutberidze camp... He seems to think they invented the concept of "interpretation", or doesn't know what it is in the first place. And in general, he doesn't seem to see the problem with his choreography, that the "ideas" are so overwrought they detract, or often can't even be properly be communicated through the disjointed, gaudy choreography he creates for his students. This is also particularly hilarious, to me. It's not all bad an interview. He does discuss how rigid a layout could be for an athlete, and the skills at any age they present, and how they need to have a mutual understanding. But his ideas about the actual choreography seem weird at best. He's a relatively young choreographer, though, so maybe it will change, and he does seem enthusiastic. But, much like a skater, I wonder if he'll improve as long as the judges refuse to score what he creates properly, and he's getting far too much praise for what he does, and hasn't particularly done anything special.
  5. He also did the Duchesnays' Free Dance "Missing", and Kwan's LP to Bolero. I really can't find a list of his works anywhere... Pretty sure I've heard about more of it.
  6. It is doubtful that Uno will be getting a complete technical rehaul, no matter where he goes, so he won't be landing any 4Lz like that. Plus, Chebotareva did teach Kolyada, but she did also teach Konstantinova whose technique is pretty terrible, and neither is particularly consistent.
  7. Curious, though... I don't think Uno is great at English (never seen him speak it in interviews)... I think Mishin and Tutberidze both speak English, but how will this work out?
  8. Uncle Jack should stop testing people's patience. If he does go to Russia, I hope it's with Mishin, but I am also wondering who will choreograph for him. Will TAT consider him to be another exemption? She did do Tsurskaya's programs, and Gubanova's, although they were both CSKA. Morozov? REALLY hope it's not Gleikhenghauz or Averbukh.
  9. He already does have "little girl technique". I don't think Eteri's girls skate like robots, whatever can be said about the programs they are saddled with. Mind, I don't think he should work with Eteri.
  10. I see. I haven't been convinced of either of their talents, but perhaps. I liked that they were going for an actual interpretation with Zagitova, but her lack of overall skating quality (and messy overall choreography) made it less than what it could have been. Osmond was pretty bad. I found Bourne's Swan Lake on YouTube, and will be watching.
  11. I agree on Papadakis... James, IDK. I can probably see where you're coming from, letting her fill in the aggressive, sensual role. But her "attack" in her programs, and her chemistry with Cipres, is often superficial to me. Not bad by any means, but not someone I would tag on to do a good Odile. Maybe the two could do a modern interpretation of it, though! Ah, had no clue. I only found out about her last season. I was hoping for program announcements, lol, instead of coaching drama.
  12. He's already done programs with Higuchi/Yamada, I think. Or at leas that was the plan. Maybe it was decided in the middle that he needs to try something new. It could totally be Barkell, but IDK how his rep stands now that he's no longer associated with the TCC.
  13. Transitions and consistency into quads? Eteri hasn't proved herself with either of those. I am not freaking out with Eteri at all. I simply can't see what he will gain. And Raf IS a better option than eteri -- Nathan is pretty consistent with his quads, and he's shown to be, AND he has jumped all types at least once. Uno needs help on ALL his quads apart from the 4T.
  14. Eteri's technique relies literally on small frames -- the way Uno currently jumps. What does he have to gain with Eteri? I assume he's going to a place that will help him jump a 4Lz (whether a real one or not is a different issue), and he hasn't exactly managed to land one with exactly the way he jumps, which is also the way Eteri makes her pupils jump. Of the three, Raf is the one who can do something for him. Yes, I wonder what will happen. I don't think I've ever heard him speak English on any interview.
  15. I very highly doubt Uno has anything to gain with Eteri, and that he would in anyway let Gallagher leak that out. I am assuming the world podium miss and failed attempts at 4Lz made him less complacent, and made him want a change. I am guessing a US coach. If he DOES go to Eteri, then lol.
  16. Huh. Wonder where. Is... this the rumoured Eteri coaching change? (I am guessing he will be moving to a US camp. I think TSL wanted him to work with Benji Schwimmer as a choreographer, and now I wonder if it was because someone leaked Uno's talks with a coach there)
  17. Just dropping in to say that I have no clue whatsoever where Gleikhenghauz gets his ideas about choreography, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised given what he's been putting out on to the ice.
