PART 2

He hasn't retired yet, but alr get Lifetime Achievement Awards
-
Omg this is scaryyyyuu indeed. I try and it's fucking true hahahahahhah. I might try with different characters to see if it knows it all:))) Edit: I tried with some unknown characters and it doesn't know, but some not so famous ones, it works tooo even when it's only played 5 times like wtffff. For figure skaters it can figure out Mao, Yuna, Alysa Liu, Alena Kostornaia etc., even Eteri and Orser I was so shocked
-
This is never NOT funny . I imagine after the super slam, he might do this in front of the mirror with ALL his gold medals
-
Yeah, he sounds much like... so done with scoring. Like "I'll do my best, if you reward me, it's good, otherwise, it's just ... that, there's nothing else to be done about it I guess"
-
There's 1 sp, 1 ex, 1 fp left from last quad right? I doubt he'll do POTO for its bad memory in 14-15 ss, or Requiem as the trio Chopin - Seimei - Requiem was basically WC16, not a good memory either. Will he do LGC? Or R&J 1.0? (most remarkable fs before Sochi). If he goes with theme of skating for himself it might be r&j as LGC was made to tribute Prince (dont know if that counts lol).
-
I mean all available, then 13-14 cant be counted
-
When u think about it, it's the FIRST time since 12/13 season that's he's going to do ALL* available comps. OMG, this is such an achievement given he's at 10th season already ALL*: CS + all GPs + Nats + All championships + Olympic if available

So today I couldn't put my mind on anything cuz 4CC sucked all my attention lmaooo and I had absolutely no regret cuz I've been ecstatic all day What makes me happiest is Yuzu finally broke 4CC curse and finished ALL titles, nothing left on table now. However, for the first time, I started put myself in his shoes and thinking "Til this point, why should I keep competing?" and realize how hard it is to keep the motivation after achieving everything. Ofc 4A is cool and I might try to get that, but succeeding 1 jump and competing to win are 2 different things that might trade off each other. If I were him, I might withdraw from some comps to focus on training 4A lol. I guess Yuzu foresaw this situation right after 2 OGMs and has struggled to find the motivation to keep going since then. Before I always considered winning is utmost important. Ofc winning is good but now, he got ALL titles: super slam + 2 OGMs, so except more OGMs, will it make a difference with extra Worlds/GPF/4CC titles once he retires? It's all same for me. So what I anticipate from now is just 4A and holy performances like Chopin 4CC when ppl will keep watching even after he quits. (for now ppl will watch any "winning" performance but time will tell which one is truly valuable, ppl rmb Winter of Yagudin but no one bothers Evan Lysacek's Olympic skates, just rmb the scandal )

Like the PCs gap among "chosen" and "unchosen" skaters isn't unfair enough now they want to raise it by 25%

So twizzle-3A-twizzle is EXTINCT now? Cuz if not Yuzu I can't imagine anyone else does it. One of the things I forever miss in Otonal.
-
lmaooo I hope Yuzu encountered that post of Robert Pattinson =))). I just find the comment section very funny . Fanyus alr do more for FS popularity than ISU Shading Skating Awards . It would be even funnier if they invite Robert Pattinson as one of the celebrities

What will be Yuzuru Hanyu's EX program for 4CC 2020?
monchan replied to Henni147's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
So, with the MASSIVE table turn and Chopin & SEIMEI are upgraded into competition. What's left for Gala? With his new mindset of skating as himself, he might bring back H&L (WR FS) => complete the set of historical WRs, or skate The Swan again => replicate PC experience. I prefer the former thou, as he already skated The Swan this ss. I know everyone LOVES LGC, but he never loved it (or it never loved him? ). It must be back someday in ice show. Too great of a program to be treated like a step son lol -
Yeah they ARE his programs, we all see so. But for Yuzu, he might feel the responsibility to skate up his own far-fetched vision of those programs. I don't think he cares about straying too far from the original, cuz his choreos are ALL different, nothing related to Nijinsky etc. It's his abstract vision of the programs which inspired him for so long that made it so difficult. Before Origin, I never heard he said smt like "my skating is still farrrrr from the VISION I have of the program, but I can't put it (the vision) down exactly", which concerned me. There's no prob like that with his own programs.
-
Very happy reading recent interviews of Yuzu. They confirmed several things which I feel are good move for him: 1. He DID consider new programs, but short time didn't allow it so he went back to SEIMEI and Chopin => We may have new programs next ss 2. He realized it's better to skate his OWN programs. This is the key thing that I feel take off a lot of his burden. What I was always worried about Origin isn't its difficult structure, but more about his far-and-high ideal of that program, and how Yuzu always feel his current skating isn't even 50% of that vision. I feel the huge pressure of living up to his idol's legacy and his lofty ideal has drawn a lot from him. 3. He realized Chopin & SEIMEI look like himself most, which I totally agree!

Such a sweet girl

I feel a bit relieved when he decided to change programs cuz it means we might see new programs next ss . Like he was so fixated on his visionary picture of Origin I feel like I might have to watch it 'til he retires lol. Origin is great program no doubt, but no matter how great Yuzu skates it, it's still music written for Plushenko's skating. If he can achieve smt big (clean program with 4A), I hope it will be his very own program. Ofc we now face the possibility of SEIMEI for life, but I'd take SEIMEI over Origin anytime . If he can succeed with Chopin & SEIMEI, he might be happy enough to move on with new programs, if not, he might try new programs too. The possibility of new programs is higher than Origin era so I think the departure from tribute programs is good.
-
So program change is also for WC, confirmed! This is wild, but only from the newspaper itself (not a direct quote), I'll leave it there.

https://twitter.com/kirayh12/status/1224046072995074048 ISU should have paid him to promote for their sh*tty awards.
-
Honestly I still think it's a typo. The newspapers talked about it, from "reliable source", but it was not directly quoted from anyone from his team so I'm not so sure. But whatever, if he indeed goes back to Chopin and SEIMEI, I still respect his choice. He was so determined to add 4A into Origin so if there's a change, esp into old programs, he must think over very, very carefully, taking into consideration potential backlash from everyone. I strongly think he should make decision solely for himself and his career, not for any outsider's opinions (fans or antis, or federation or journalists). Must remember that, ppl can find all ways to criticize his every decision as he's still competing, but once a skater retires, only GREAT programs will be remembered, no one gives a f*ck if you've done 10 or 100 programs thru out your career!
