  1. I will take Sex Bomb idea back from the universe if I can have Yuzu skating to Rasputin.
  2. For some reason all this effect of music on skating and audience and perception has made me wish Yuzu would skate to Rasputin. There would be thousands and thousands of people who cannot get it out of their heads for days every time he skates, it'd be hilarious and evil and I want this to happen.
  3. There's always PandaGuy if they don't.
  4. (If you want to multi-quote, click on the + symbol to the left of 'Quote', then scroll on to the next comment you want to quote and click on the + again, and when you have covered all comments you want to quote, click on the floating 'Quote x post' box that will have appeared. If you simply want to tag a satellite, @ and then type the beginning of their username, and their name should pop up, click that and they'll get a mention notification, like so @Toni. There's no option to delete a comment once published, but you can hide it by clicking options and choosing hide. Before publishing a comment, you could always select all and delete everything in the new comment box and start over if you want to. This will get rid of quote boxes and spoilers as well. You can also get rid of quote boxes by hitting backspace. For eg for this post, if I go to the open bracket right at the beginning of the comment and hit backspace a couple of times, the entire part where your comment is quoted will be deleted. )
  5. I guess, but the situations are kind of different. There's the fact that he had two near perfect performances that season already, short and free. He was coming off already recycling Chopin. And I think (my own speculation) that he already knew he wanted to skate to something that represented him, his country and his culture for the Olys. If H&L had been received better by judges, he might have considered that as an option for the Olympic season, I think. Either way I'd say he wanted to get some mileage on a second option for his Olympic free skate. Plus considering Seimei was probably his first choice for Olys already, it would've become a consecutive 3-peat if he'd repeated it. I think also there's a bit more mental baggage to unpack with the 4Lz and that takes spoons too. And we know the last time he tried the 4Lz he did it with a recycled programme. I'm still hoping for a new SP but I don't actually expect it, it'd be the best surprise if he gave us one but he'll choose what works best for him, as he should.
  6. That's. Research. Be as super efficient and energy-conserving as a model as at training. Also choose to rep a chocolate maker so you can actually get energy boost while doing photoshoots. Get shoot done in a few hours, go back to rink, train 4Lz, 4F and 4A. That's my fanyu story and I'm sticking to it.
  7. I have no chocolate exactly because it is not a good idea and all kinds of things start looking like good ideas when you're up late. I want that chocolate dispenser. I need it. PRECIOUSSS!!
  8. *looking at baking chocolate in the middle of the night and seriously considering eating it* Thanks, Yuzu!
  9. Nobody who's seen his spins is surprised. And kids don't do the 4lo for points. No matter what narrative anybody tries to push or how ISU mutilates the sport, Yuzu's influence and impact on this sport will endure and that is just such a triumph for how absolutely incredible Yuzu is. We stan a real, actual legend who is also a real, actual dork of a troll, it's such a rollercoaster.
  10. SOLD! But not this, this looks like a variation of the Canadian sweater curse.
  11. This is the highest GOE 4Lz from a lady so far: There are about 3.25 rotations in there at best, being generous. Very like Vincent's 4Lz.
  12. I think his mum chooses his lip balm and possibly darkens his eyebrows and he uses too much hair spray and that's it, styling done.
  13. Ah, thank you for the clarification!
  14. I do believe your dream will come true, because the dreams that come true are the ones we work our butts off for, not the ones we sit around just dreaming about. You're obviously doing the work, overcoming obstacles like a champ (like Yuzu ) so you're already well on your way to making this one come true. And imagine how lovely it'll be! Yuzu keeps telling his fans that our support gives him strength, so when you thank him for being your strength and support just by being who he is, it'll be absolutely wonderful. You're doing amazing, you'll get there and it'll all be worth it.
  15. I think all these changes and proposals are just ways for the ISU to feel all important and as if they're doing groundbreaking things while nothing actually changes because 'principles of judging' will remain the same, and that's what decides competitions.
  16. Holy Yuzuru. *hydrates in anticipation* Buckle up, folks, it's gonna be all waterworks over here. (Me @ myself) Seriously, every gesture, every tilt of his chin, means something in HYK. Idek what to say, it makes me cry like an ignored cat.
  17. I guess at least Nathan actually has real quads, though the GOEs and PCS are another story. Even he's short-changed in that particular race, he must have worked very hard to get that very efficient and consistent technique that balances power and rotation speed to actually have proper quads! Thank heavens for Jason. He fully deserves the components he gets and if he lands a quad I'm sure it'll be with good technique. If his triples weren't all rotated properly, he'd probably already have a 4T, tbh. But he's got decent technique on his jumps so he has to actually make all the rotations to get a quad. He's got the best 3F in competition rn, I'll be so happy if he manages to add power and tighten rotation to get a 4F! It's not impossible, I have hope.
  18. You'll have your work cut out finding somebody to bet against that. It sucks because she seems to be a joyful performer. Exuberant, I guess. She'd be a lot of fun to watch if there wasn't this judging politics bullcr*p hanging over everything. Feels very much like junior ladies results and scores have mostly been decided before they even skate.
  19. Welcome! Feel free to gush and vent and laugh and cry and whine with the rest of us anytime, especially if you've got insights like this to offer to the conversation!
