  1. Dying Well nothing hurts like when you threaten their masculinity ... now excuse me while I go laugh myself sick.
  2. Also the sleeves, I mean look at that And definitely , it's just hilariously awful. That one white button is also cracking me up something awful.
  3. Ohh thanks. Well not surprised by either Samarin or Aliev. Dima's had the 4Lz this past season too, just didn't use it. I am surprised by Kovtun though, goodness. True that they have nothing to lose but on the other hand, he's hardly been the poster child for good performances. Alas, this smells like a splat fest to me, rather than anything else. Mika just needs to stabilize that Lz finally and I think he could do very well.
  4. What is that black monstrosity? Now, I know Yuzuru is too beautiful but really, there's no point in trying to ugly-ify him. Just pass out from the beauty like all the normal people, oi.
  5. That's interesting to hear! For example I really, really don't like LGC and when it comes to Prince in general, it's touch and go for me. And strangely enough, I still don't like the song but I love the program. I think Yuzuru's performance takes over the music and as a whole it carries me off, so I must congratulate him on that, I never thought it'd be possible when I first heard the music he had chosen.
  6. Oooh that one is really pretty. I would not complain at all if he wore something of the sort.
  7. At this point I am hoping that Max is right and it is Seimei 2.0. It may sound a little bit contradictory but considering Max was specific about music alterations too, I would say this is something perfect for the Olympics. That would be the wow factor all right! It'd carry the crowd from start to finish and I think he really gets into the character perfectly.
  8. Depends on the LP. A lot of skaters are repeating programs, and yes, Chopin had its own baggage, not to repeat again but we haven't seen even a glimpse of the LP. I expect that to be a corker and the wow factor.
  9. I doubt he'll lose tbh. LP is probably at least partially done, and then there's the Chopin, and we're not even in June. So as far as that goes, he's more than fine. The point of keeping program(s) is that they're more familiar and easy the handling of tech, so if it turns out both are that, losing CoR should not be an option, considering his game plan.
  10. Yes, I was wondering if my impression was wrong! It's also interesting, the bit about PChiddy and quads etc. I think this conversation is going to continue until next season when they introduce the new rules.
  11. Well, she looks fab! Those legs.... Ahem. Yes. Lazukin says, if I've got this right, please help, Misha did his SP, it's a flamenco and he's doing 2 quads in the short and 3 quads in the free (4Lo & 2x4T), that is going to be a classical one. There is a much longer interview (bits above are from it) with both Lazukin and Tukt, yes in Russian.
  12. And again, sorry for interrupting the discussion! We've done a bit of house cleaning so you now have two new threads! And For both talk about ballet, landings, jump mechanics, flexibility even, whatever. Thank you guys!
  13. And to push this one up, so that it's visible as a new thread! Thank you very much once again everyone, especially @Fresca and @koneko for your wonderful and informative posts!
  14. Bumping this thread up, just so everyone knows we've moved house! Hope you continue guys, and thanks again for all the detailed explanation @Fresca
  15. I am sorry for interrupting the current talk but just a little notice. If you're wondering why the topic suddenly shrunk, I have moved all the talk about jump landings, mechanics of it, etc into it's separate post, so that all the skaters can be discussed there as well as the very principals of good technique! you can find it here
  16. Well we could always play the -lets watch the movie and then design out own costumes - game, in words or picture. Of course, since I'd end up drawing a stick figure, I'd have to go for words but we can be creative! And we can always pass it off as summer heat, it's not our fault we lost it.
  17. After Niigata is done though, the real drought commences. It's going to be glorious
  18. I proclaim this is decided (I am joking) (only not really)
  19. You are severely underestimating our ability to beat a dead horse into the ground. Severely!
  20. Well considering how many rings we need ...
  21. I know, it's really a large risk. I suppose they're going for a go big or go home push for these Olympics, especially considering that potentially he may switch to academia after, but there's such a thing as too much as well and with his history of hip injuries, the landings, well, I'm hoping they have come up with a way to control that to some extent.
  22. Goodness. I hope he doesn't do that and it's completely not competition related but his poor hip and his health in general possibly. With all of those in practice too, it really sounds like too high a risk in that way.
  23. @raebia - ooh that sounds brilliant! And of course @Fay, of course. I am sure blue will go down well with the hubby
