  1. This reminds me it was Yuzu's strategy early in his career to use a 3Fe instead of a 3Lo.
  2. Let me clarify something here: Shoma isn't advertising he can jump a 4Lz. Someone posted a video of him from a training session at Glacier Arena, that's it. That's not him advertising anything.
  3. I just noticed Space Kitty and Space Swan also have marked page numbers like Mewzuru but some of their text is too light or dark for the background (like the page X of Z) to see properly.
  4. He had like 6-8 pair of boots with those blades, though. From that John Wilson making of instragram post. Seems weird to make that many if he didn't specifically request new blades (and they just made them black for special value). The blades did seem blackish in that video but it was a B/W video so...
  5. Speaking of Yuzu's blades, are we sure after all he's getting some black blades? He didn't seem to have them in the open practice.
  6. It's a common issue to all themes, I think. In Chopin you can't also see the page you're in except in the 1000 of 1200 page next to the page numbers.
  7. A 4Flz(e) is worth 9.50 BV and -3 GOE, compared to a 4Lz with 13.60 BV. If it's 4Lz! (unclear edge), it keeps the BV but should get negative GOE (-2/-3). Edit: NVM, @sallycinnamon already answered.
  8. Yeah, all these BV speculations are done with planned or speculated possible BVs. The real BV will be the one that's obtained on the day, through levels and jump calls. Just because one has the potential for 122 BV, like Nathan with 7-quads, doesn't mean he'll get 122 BV. But if you're speculating and doing fun math, then you can't count that he'll pop a quad or get an edge call or fail his step sequence levels in your calculations.
  9. Since I feel like this is directed at me given our previous discussion and the BV mention, I know I don't understand FS as much as you do but I never actually said I thought Shoma would fix his edge in a summer? I said he will and should be marked for a Flutz if he Flutzes his 4Lz in competition, same as he did in this practice clip. Just saying he's trying to work on his edge doesn't mean one thinks he's going to miraculously fix it in a few sessions in the summer, just means I'm glad he's not being lazy and not even trying.
  10. I think JP TV just decided to speculate without any basis about Boyang's plans, due to Nathan saying he's doing 6 quads, which is no surprise at all considering he was already planning to do so (and did do so, though he fell on two) at Worlds. So JP media is just trigger happy for quads.
  11. Once I read the description of the movie I realized it wasn't exactly a comedy. And yeah, that performance is gorgeous! I love the music and how fast he moves with it. The choreo is amazing and his expression is always fantastic. Plus that costume looks really hot on him.
  12. So he's doing a spread-eagle before getting into the steps to the solo 4T but so far his spread-eagles need work lol
  13. This is not my favorite of Daisuke's programs (I've seen others I've loved more like Blues for Kooks) but damn if that first step sequence wasn't on fire! He is so expressive and so smooth. Between Dai and Boyang's La Strada, though, I realize there's a certain common clownish-ness to the character being portrayed (they both scratch their head in their performances too) and now I kind of want to check out the Fellini movie this theme comes from to catch whatever they're referencing in these choreographies.
  14. According to this, Mai had a mostly clean FS, with a fall on the 3S. 5 jumps in the second half. So her layout is 3Lz3T 2A // 3F 2A3T 3Lo 3Lz2T2Lo 3S. 132.08 FS score for a total of 200.52.
  15. Still don't know if it's him singing or if it's the cover @kaeryth mentioned.
  16. A look at the choreographic sequence of Seimei 2.0
  17. So, at around 12:20 in this video, this Japanese news show seems to imply Boyang Jin will be doing 6 quads like Nathan. This hasn't actually been something I've calculated in my previous BV assessments but I've come up with a couple of 6-quad layouts for Boyang (only one of which is actually worth it over a 5-quad layout). These are, as usual, just me playing around with potential layouts, and there's no confirmation that I know of that Boyang is even considering 6 quads. Note: According to the China open test day, Boyang kept the same layout for his SP as the previous season. If that'll change later we'll have to see. JIN 51.33 4Lz3T 3A // 4T 110.78 4Lz3T 4S 4Lo // 4T2T 4T 3A1Lo3S 3A 3Lz 162.11 112.98 4Lz 4Lo 4S3T // 4T2T 4S 3A1Lo3S 4T 3Lz 164.31 114.10 4Lz3T 4Lo 4Lz // 4T2T 4S 3A1Lo3S 3A 3Lz 165.43 116.08 4Lz3T 4Lo 4Lz // 4T2T 4S 4T 3A1Lo3S 3Lz 167.41
  18. Also, let me keep an eye to what my competitors will be doing this early in the season while I get my feet wet on a 5-quad layout and see how they score.
  19. I feel like NHK will be the last opportunity to introduce 4Lz if he doesn't before then. Otherwise he'll only have one competition plus nationals to test it out.
  20. I wonder, is Nic planning on doing a 4Lo where his 3Lo is? Because otherwise he should probably do a 3Lz, right?
  21. Duhamel/Radford new SP: :
  22. I remember reading something about her placing 5 jumps in the second half of the FS but I can't quite recall what was planned about the SP.
