This thread is going crazy and we still don't have the announcement. I have a headache right now.

Team we're fewer but still good!

And yet, still no FS announcement. I feel cheated.

Brian probably gave his guys an ultimatum: for once go somewhere together to save me travel because the grand prix is going to kill me.

Yay, Javi and Yuzu potential podium so early in the season to make up for the dearth of last season!

Javi will be at Autumn Classic too! -
I mean at Worlds, if he'd tried going for a 5th quad (the second 4T) he'd have to sacrifice his 3A. At WTT it was different since he popped the 4S and thus could do two 4Ts and two 3As instead. And yes, he could have gone for another 4S there since he only did a 1S and that's how the protocol marked it. But then he couldn't do either a second 4T or 3A.
-
He could have done a second 4T since he only has 1 of those on the FS. He'd just have to sacrifice the 3A in the combo for it.

Oh Satton. Wishing her a speedy recovery from this. Did someone curse the tiny queen or what!?

I'm going to miss Boyangman but this movie's soundtrack is beautiful so I'm looking forward to watching his new SP.

I've heard about Torvill and Dean's Bolero program almost as soon as I started visiting GS when I first got into FS last year but I'd never actually seen it before (it's probably because Ice Dance wasn't really my FS priority). I hadn't realized it got that perfect 6.0 artistic score either, but now that I have seen it, I can finally understand why it's such an iconic program in Figure Skating. It's interesting because Bolero can be a quite monotonous theme, but they made it work by being so completely in tune with the music, where even their crossovers matched the tempo. Absolutely gorgeous. And some of those dance lifts were wild! Loved those initial 18 seconds too.

If all splat, a higher BV might help.

This was a rough Google translation. Could just be the article writer fanning the flames of the Hanyu vs Uno saga they so love and not something Shoma expressed himself.

He's trying to fix his edge. Whether he succeeds and whether the 4Lz gets ratified during the season we'll know soon enough.

It's the same headache for Yuzu and 5 quads. Save me from all these potential splatfests.

He needs the 4Lo to do 5 quads though. Unless he removes a 3A.

Oh yeah, that article is a bit weird and confusing because it mentions 4F as second jump. But that'd mean he's not doing a 4Lo then? I doubt it. Though it wouldn't surprise me if he tried two 4F plus the 4Lz. I think he wants to be the first Japanese man to land 5 quads, according to google translate on the original article.

Are you sure it's two 4F? Or two 4T? He's been doing two 4T at shows but it's not like if he does one 4F on the second half he can't do two. Either case, it's not like Shoma has a lot of choice but to add a new quad to keep up with Yuzu and Nathan (and Boyang). He needs that 4Lz as much as Yuzu may need in the end.

This is a question for the Japanese members here or those who understand and follow Japanese Twitter. I saw many mentions on Japanese Twitter about Yuzu's asthma since the 24h TV promo. I know this was the first time he mentioned he had asthma on TV; are the Japanese fans surprised or admiring his courage to talk about it or what was the general feeling?

Jason's doing 4T and 4S in his FS. He did it at Glacier Falls, though his 4S was 2ft and UR.

Stephen coming in and taking names against older men.

Poor Jun Hwan. I hope he goes back to Canada to have a good rest and recuperate. Does anyone know more about this injury? I know he had boot issues but wasn't aware until recently he might be injured as well.
-
Karen seems to have had a clean FS at Glacier Falls.
-
May be his SP, actually. He is starting with the 3A so I wonder if it's because he's planning to backload his other two jumps (a 55.32 BV Whoa) or if he's just getting the 3A out first before the combo, since it's his problem jump. Either way, the 4F will definitely be backloaded. But yeah, really digging this music and that beginning choreo. If it's his SP, this is Shae-Lynn Bourne choreographing.
