Yes...but then Yuzu is so expressive and cannot help but look disappointed when the scores don't reflect his efforts, and then we are also disappointed and cross even though we have seen a wonderful performance. I really do wish I could just ignore the scores, but Yuzuru doesn't ignore them, and neither can I (when one is competitive by nature, it's hard not to look and take notice of scores and I think that although nearly all of Yuzuru's fans appear to have an artistic nature and appreciation, we also mostly love competitive sport and that usually means we are somewhat competitive individuals too - well I can only speak for myself but those are my thoughts!) None of us like to see Yuzuru disappointed, most of us love to see him win because we think that's what he deserves! So unfortunately I think the scores do affect most of us. I actually sort of dread them now. It's was so wonderful watching the recent ice show performances, and the 24 hour tv ones too - so beautiful, so appreciated, such excitement, none of the disappointment/anger. But then I cant bear the thought of Yuzu NOT competing lol!! I dunno, what are we supposed to do??! Just carry on supporting him and loving him I guess, and putting up with the emotional ups and downs of doing so! He must be worth it, thousands (millions!) of us are together with him on this ride!

Just read this on twitter - you have a such a lovely family and friend network, or maybe its your skill as a communicator that engages them in watching Yuzuru skate with you - my family and friends just roll their eyes if I say anything about Yuzuru and his skating, a recent example being I mentioned to my sister how I found his skating healing after we suffered a close family bereavement (I was thinking of The Swan, and Haru yo Koi, and Hana wa saku) and did she want me to send some links, and she tutted and said she didn't think for a moment that SKATING could help her with her grief....she is an artistic person herself, and loves literature and history, has lived in Japan, it should be easy to convince (convert!) her!! Tell me your secret!!

me tooo, thank you for posting! the (accurately predicted) 10 years is up.......he's done amazing amazing things but I still wish there were 10 more to go... (imo he will still likely be the best mens figure skater in the world when he is 36 regardless of which jumps he can or can't perform at that time!) I know we have been lucky to be able to see him (competitively) skate for this long, thank you Yuzuru. It would be just perfect if he could complete his competitive career with a landed 4A and we are willling him on to do so but really, his work up to now is a fabulous legacy already, and regardless of 4A I am sure there will be more beautiful works to add to this if he carries on skating professionally.

I STILL haven't got my refund back from Opodo either - most recent contact is they paid my refund into my bank on 6th Sept, 3-7 working days before it might show....it still isn't there after 14!! Even so, I quickly decided to buy Worlds tickets - Men's SP, FS and Gala. Whilst I share your fears I just cannot bear the thought that I'd miss seeing him in Montpellier, the closest he ever skates to my country is in France. I have taken out insurance on the tickets and flight in case of all eventualities. I think it's only worth going to a post Olympics World Championship if Yuzuru is there tbh. I went to 2018 Worlds and, well, you know what the Men's event there was like!! (I know there are the other disciplines but I can happily watch them on a screen even though I have faves in each). Actually, imo it's only worth the hassle and expense of going to ANY comp if Yuzu is competing. Oh, an exception, I did travel to ROI in Madrid to see Javi and Yuna though, in Dec 2018...worth every penny! Also: Sorry if posted already! This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

I'm hoping so too - Rika seems to need to find some balance to her training and taking care of her body - TCC seem really good at this balance (though of course there are always SOME people who wont listen....!!) I thought Evgenia really benefitted from this, for example. She looked the picture of health whilst in Canada, and the benefit to her skating was just starting to show before the pandemic hit. Rika was hampered by injuries last season, lets hope TCC can work the same magic on her as they did with Evgenia (although it took longer than just a few months, which is all we have left until Beijing...)

@Henni147 Lol I love the Javi bit, it's true!! From what other skaters say at TCC it appears that after Javi left, Yuzu really kept himself to himself. (though he did say in CBC interview at Skate Canada 2019 that he had "such good friends" at TCC) I think the pandemic is also an issue for him, not wanting to travel and take what he sees as unnecessary risks. I don't think he will return either....

News today that Rika is going to TCC as her training base! Travel's not an issue then, for Yuzuru I mean. EDIT ah I see now Canada opened borders to international travel on 7th sept

When I first saw @Henni147's post my eyes zoomed in on the red circled area and all I saw was White Legend as the SP - OMG!!! you can guess what I thought - and I wasn't at all unhappy! But....it wasn't Yuzuru's bio after all lol! (memories of ISU spoiling Yuzuru's surprise before 4CC last year!) Ah I cant wait for him to debut his SP as he said he would recently. (Yuzuru it is September already.....)

Yuzuru has been so busy!!! and all this during a pandemic! and EVERY programme he has skated in the last 8 months he has shown us perfection (at least once!) How to pick a favourite is impossible - Worlds HWS was so very beautiful and I wept at the huge beautiful 3A, JNats Ten to Chi to was perfection itself and just magical, Worlds LMEY too "yess sir!!", White LGC was a dream-come-true for us, well me certainly (I'm sure he did all 3 jumps perfectly on one occasion didn't he, despite the small rink? and all other elements were gorgeous esp the spins), HYK and WL and HNN were beauty itself, breathtaking .... and openings and closings of SOI and DOI were so cool. Masquerade, powerful, that scream at the end in the last show was heart wrenching in its despair, AND THEN Blinding Lights - OMG.!!! Different every show, and so !!!! I wont forget that entrance or the “you can turn me on with just a touch" parts for a loooong time! All in all a very very good 8 months work Yuzuru, you worked so hard, your performances helped me (and many others I am sure) keep going through this dreadful pandemic, thank youuuu!!!

arrgghhh spot the omission

It's hard not to love him, and he reminds us frequently with everything he says and does why we do.

Yuzuru says beautiful things, he really does. I don't personally think he cares about translucent skin, but I do think he cares about truth and beauty and finding moments of these in our lives. The examples he gives show his poetic soul. I know its an ad, I know he makes money from it, but he doesn't say the usual stuff, he does try to relate things to his own experiences and attempts to help us do the same.

Me tooooo 2am to 5.45am ..... but guess what I am gonna do despite knowing how tired I will be all day Sunday????
