  1. Gosh can you imagine Max and Yuzuru having a conversation?! (they both love talking A LOT don't they!! let ME talk now!! (I love listening to both of them on the subject of FS and Yuzuru tbh!)
  2. 🖤✨🖤✨🖤 edit: oops @amylance1215 we posted this at the same time!! 😂
  3. .....and Javi's too (EDIT: well, Javi's presence helped him to progress further, according to Yuzu, and Javi too has said this, they helped each other, and Brian recognised and encouraged their training friendship - I just dont want to leave Javi out of it because Yuzu emphasises how important he was in that training environment, and I get sad when I realise Javi erasure is rife!)
  4. Yuzuru did say he benefitted from time alone on the ice in Sendai, free to choose what to focus on, and also free of the frustration of having to wait for other skaters to do their run throughs. He stated a benefit of Toronto in that he has access to physical therapy, and after his free in JNats he made a point of thanking coaches and choreographers stating "I can feel you with me" (or something like that!) He has not indicated that he feels unsupported by his coaching team that I am aware of (although sometimes we have been a bit frustrated at Brian's tendency to put his foot in his mouth on occasion when speaking about Yuzuru!) Mostly the impression is they are very supportive of Yuzuru - and he especially has a good relationship with Ghislain dont you think?
  5. OMG!! Yonkaiten Pixel has uploaded this today on YT in 4K HD, such great quality!! I think it's Sendai FaOI. Such a great performance, and that 3A!
  6. 4A is the subject of this video posted today on YT
  7. My view about Carol and Kurt (whose commentary I usually really like, the worse thing I remember about it is Kurt's criticism of Yuzuru's Requiem costume - I'm confident he would never had said that if he'd known what the costume represented) is that they very obviously adore Yuzuru's skating, they see his unique talent in all its layers. Sometimes I think their humour or how they word their admiration just doesn't cross cultural or nation boundaries that well, and that if we all had the same sense of humour or language then these misunderstandings wouldn't happen ..... but then what kind of world would that be if we were all the same, if we were all culturally and linguistically homogenous? What we can do is try to keep open communication with each other, try not to judge too quickly or too harshly, and listen to and believe explanations as given in good faith. (something people on twitter find very hard to do it seems!!) What binds us together is a love of beautiful figure skating and the way it can move us. We have more in common than that which divides us! (a quote by the late Jo Cox a UK MP).
  8. Yay maybe another 5 years of Yuzu in competition then!!?! 31 yr old Yuzuru OMG I cant wait to see him...where are the 2026 Olympics again??
  9. Awww Isnt Mishin the coach who said "you can beat Hanyu but you can never surpass him"? It seems to me he has had a consistently high regard for Yuzuru (edit: at least in more recent years?) - "mesmerising" is the word Roman used to describe Yuzuru too .......... and it's true, he IS mesmerising, it's like he casts a spell! I love that Mishin says its not only because of his heavenly skating but also because of his personality, he really does captivate people's hearts
  10. Oh I'll try too! 1. SEI ... oh wait Ten .... oh maybe H& Oh I give up!!!
  11. Thank you! I like Kurt and Carol's commentary of Yuzuru's skating, they always seem to convey the beauty of it, how amazingly talented he is, and obviously respect him highly as the legend that he is.
  12. Oh I’d love to know too! There is a photo in sunao noto’s photo book of Yuzu in this costume! I love Owl City too, I hope we get a link to this video 🙏🏽🖤✨
  13. I am 100% sure Yuzuru will be contracted to attend SOI. It seems some people (twitter) think he can (and SHOULD) get out of this somehow. Yuzuru is not the type of person to renege on a contract imo. They are binding in more ways than legally..... Also some people (twitter) think he might be skating because he might struggle to pay a fine if he did refuse to skate - I doubt this, plus money is not the only thing that influences our decisions!! Yuzuru has high moral standards, a sense of duty, and integrity, these are the factors that will have influenced his "decision" imo. The other thing is that Japanese people take a lot of care over the coronavirus, he probably feels a lot safer skating in Japan than in Sweden!! Stay safe Yuzuru and don't worry about all the arguments on social media - DONT LOOK!! (I should take my own advice I think!!) EDIT: I have had to go into my office during the pandemic despite disagreeing with my employers' stance and feeling we could have worked from home. I had no option. Its pretty much the same situation for the skaters I am sure especially for postponed events.
  14. This thread explains the sale of tickets - it seems the deadline for refunds was 31.3.21 so many people applied for refunds - all the skaters had been announced after worlds, except Yuzuru, announced today. It seems the plan to do this was based on getting the crowd to reduce in size given the pandemic (the tickets were sold early last year), so Yuzuru fans are cross as they were singled out and also that this is a dishonest ploy. Japanese fans are not blaming Yuzuru for this at all. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  15. Yesterday I felt so upset reading Twitter and the things media (and others) have been saying - i don’t understand why it is that in order to promote Nate, Yuzuru should be derided. I saw a Japanese person tweet that the media in Japan love Nate and respect him, why can’t Western media do the same for Yuzuru, they asked. Anyway, happy H&L day, what wonderful memories of Yuzuru’s stellar performance! Oh and Yuzuru, just a reminder (if it’s needed) that we love you so much and adore watching you skate, we are always excited by your music choices and the beautiful costumes you wear, and we believe in you too, 100%.
  16. Governor of Osaka has said Olympic torch relay should be cancelled ... hard to argue that an international skating event shouldn’t be, surely?? But then...Worlds happened even tho other events cancelled...
  17. Brian knows what we all know - there is something special about Yuzuru, something extraordinary. Brian calls it something on a spiritual level...I have often described it as Yuzuru having a magic about him, he is magical, and whatever that magic is it touches our hearts and our souls, so yeah, pretty much agree with Brian! This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  18. Yep, all smoke and mirrors! The truth is the 3A in Hana wa Saku should have won Yuzu the championship on it's own!! Someone put on twitter it should be given 1,000,000 GOE and even that is underscoring it! That jump was so beautiful it made me cry.
  19. Yuzu was imitating his figureskating countryman Tatsuki Machida when we see those clips in his Requiem costume (2015 GPF? 2016 Worlds?) - Machida had an Ex where he skated to Dont Stop me Now. so I am not so sure Yuzu is a Queen fan per se! although he does seem fond of rock music. (EDIT: Just watched this again.....Machida was so good!!)
  20. Beijing Olympics...Yuzu has a huge and very passionate fanbase in China.... (dying to use this yuzuicon!!)
  21. Interesting ..... how does he explain the international acclaim of (Olympic) SEIMEI then?? EDIT: just seen someone else made same point soon after the quoted post apols!
  22. The way he is talking about this I wouldn't be surprised if he has landed the 4A already. I think he is playing his cards close to his chest - he's a top sportsman, he is not going to give anything (or everything) away to his competition imo. And it's my view that Beijing is firmly in his sights (if it happens!). Remember the pointing at Olympic rings at Nagano and the fire in his eyes? The fire doesn't get extinguished that quickly when it comes to Mr Hanyu. Lulling others into a false sense of security (or trying to). Just my view..... (someone else wrote I trust Yuzuru but I never trust Yuzuru lol) I think the complicating factor is Covid - it creates uncertainty and that's so hard for Yuzuru and all the athletes to have a clear idea about their future plans. But if there's a chance of an Olympic medal, preferably gold, I think Yuzuru would grab it with both hands. He adores the Olympics. As I say just speculating and voicing my opinion. I trust Yuzuru, but I never trust him... Javi: "Yuzuru is a mystery and he'll remain a mystery because he likes it like that" - that quote stays embedded in my consciousness! Of course as always Yuzu will decide whatever he decides and I will always support his decisions
