I tend to enjoy the GP circuit quite a bit tbh, I suppose because it's more relaxing, compared to the big Worlds, or heck even Nats, due to spots! As for the ladies, I'm very curious what is going to happen to Wakaba and Satoko, as only one gets NHK. My guess is Satoko, considering she's JSF's preferred skater, in which case where does Wakaba go? IdF is an option, so who knows, she may end up with a CoC and IdF combo as well. Zhenya is another question mark as I imagine, Alina will get CoR as the Oly champ though I could see Zhenya going to NHK again as she likes Japan. Speaking of assignments, when do we typically hear what GP comps each skater is doing? Is it June/July or quite late? Well, the French are ... gosh, sorry, but dodgy. I am sure it's legit in the sense that they want it. We just don't know how 'persuasive' JSF will be and will it be a simple do you wish to or you go there. Yuzuru is technically one of those skaters who goes by invitation this season, unlike last season, so. Also depends if having P/C is that important to JSF and if P/C themselves can choose. They probably do want NHK as it's frankly the best event but we'll see. It may end up they will go anyway, regardless of Yuzuru. May/June. Was May this past season but that was unusually early. yuzuangel
I wouldn't mind if Yuzu went to France. I haven't been to France and would love to Visit.
Altie
I won't lie, even if I know that the french Grand Prix is the worst of the six grand prix, I would really love if the rumors were true - as it would be the only opportunity to have Yuzu in Europe in the next two years probably . And, who knows ? I hate Gaillhaguet, but perhaps if he knows he's got Yuzu, then he'll find sponsors to do the grand prix in Paris, in Bercy, and buy a new podium and real medals - even flags ? Please let me dream even if I know the probability is very, very low
Xen
My guesses are: Boyang: SA and COC, or COC and IdF (Coc/IdF is closer to Boyang's pattern) Yuzu: SC and CoR/IdF/NHK (this is closer to his pattern) Mikhail: CoC and CoR (fairly close distance so he's fine travel wise) Nate: SA and CoC (China allowed Boyang to go head to head with Nate in 2017 GP, so why not another set of head to head?) Shoma: any 2 of SC, NHK, IdF Tomono: SA or SC, and possibly get invited to CoC/IdF/NHK Assuming that Javi doesn't do the full GP circuit, he's a total wild-card. He might just show up at IdF. 18/19 GP series will be wild, just because of wild-card Boyang, Yuzu and possibly Javi (if he decides to do any GP) ruining any and every Fed's party. Plot twist: After the rumor of french fed's offer gets spread out: CoR makes an offer to JSF, and they conspire to have Med and Yuzu at CoR, meanwhile JSF gets to have Med and Tarasova/Morozov at NHK, and any pick of a Russian dance team (cause non medaled) Chinese fed decides this is too insulting, and in exchange for Yuzu at CoC, offers Sui/Han and Boyang to NHK Meanwhile Skate Canada is fuming, and in exchange for getting Yuzu at SC, tempts JSF with Daleman, Wea/Po and Gilles/Poirier (a 3-hit combo) JSF looks back at French fed and asks what else can be offered? Javi has his own show around November, for sure he won't do GPs. As for Yuzuru, it will be SC+NHK/COR/Idf. I dont think he will do SA and COR. The ladies is more predictable, SC+Idf for Keatlyn, SA+NHK for Satoko, COC+COR for Wakaba. I wonder who will get COR between Evgenia and Alina ? or both ? Yep, I think SC and COR is more likely for Yuzu if he doesn't get NHK. Timing wise it works well for him, and he's well liked in Russia. Since Mikhail will likely get CoR, that blocks Nathan, Shoma from going. It does leave open the possibility of Boyang also to COR, since Russia/China travel distance isn't that great. As for SC: I guess Keegan will get the pick for SC, but since he's not top 3, any of the top 3 could end up at SC. Or JSF could get crafty and have Shoma and Yuzu both at SC and NHK? It might mean JPN men go 1-2 each competition and secure 2 slots for GPF. o_O For the men, SC might just be the wildcard GP, where anyone could show up. For ladies, I think COR will probably have both Evegnia and Alina, plus another 3rd lady (Tsurskaya?), and just lockdown the first 3 places. I agree with the other ones you picked. Kostner: SC/SA+IdF Tennell: SA+whichever competition USFed thinks she has a shot of placing top 4? Alina: SA/CoC+CoR/NHK/IdF Evgenia: CoR+NHK Daleman: SA+ CoR/NHK
