August 21, 20188 yr Author Oh that's interesting. Tbh I really did expect he'd go with her but this is good too. He'll be with her to break the ice, and she gets along with DW well too it seems and then for Rus Nats, the dragon ladies will take the stage.

Actually, want it for Yuzu - even though he cannot be any lower than second, it’s vital he tries his best to regain the title. And given Yuzu’s status, it would be weird to have his principal coach be anywhere else but with him. Though RusNat Ladies is a shark tank...

I've hoped for Brian to go with Yuzuru as I think he actually isn't going to have an easy time at all. 2 seasons of missing due to health, trying to regain it, Dai back, his past history of being somewhat dodgy at this time, and NHK last time with no Brian, etc ... so while I would have understood, I am actually pleased this is how it got resolved. But yes, RusNats are Hunger Games really, so since Zhenya seems to be doing ok with DW too, I hope DW can go with Tracy as well so that she can have that. Tracy is actually no slouch herself, on the contrary and she's probably the best equipped at TCC to give her the mental support which I do think will be the most important aspect of Nats for Zhenya. She needs to hold steady as we'll be seeing Trusova and co there too.

Yes, this was really smart, nicely, in advance, no fuss. And seriously Knock on wood, this season goes better. Zhenya really needs a good one, in the context of the up and coming generation. Hunger Games? It's probably an understatement from next season onward!

August 21, 20188 yr More and more reasons for me to be happy I got ACI tickets Basically a month to go... longest month ever, I think, though.... Glad Anna P is doing Frida. Very glad Brian is going with Yuzu to J Nats. I had a feeling he would.. just... because. I still think Yuzu is his first priority and will be with him when needed the most. Med will do fine in Russia no matter what coach is with her from TCC.
August 22, 20188 yr It might actually be better all around for Brian not to be there all the time with Zhenya tbh. Eteri seems to have declared war on Brian in particular, maybe things will be a little less fraught if he's not there when Zhenya is skating. Media would make it a big sideshow, too. Tracy is so calm and unflappable and seems so serene most of the time, she'd probably be a good person to have there.
August 22, 20188 yr I'm having fun imagining the contrast between Tracy and Eteri in KnC. Then imagine TAT on the sidelines, potentially standing between the two.
