I am so happy for Yuzuru. I think he will appreciate this gold far more than if he had not had the injury because it once again showed him how much he loves the sport and how joyful he was to get back on the ice. I think he would've had a rougher time if he'd gone through the whole season perfectly, using the lutz and loop... what an amazing competitor. Brian said in December after h is injury that maybe it was a blessing in disguise... prophetic words and he was right. And, having won this way, without doing  his maximum technical elements, he has something to strive for should he decide to continue to tokyo etc.... emotionaly, i don't think he could have put more into that program... heart of a lion...

I'm so happy rn  (I wanted Boyang on podium, but oh well, next Olympics it is!)
