[2017] GP IdF Trophy - Ice Dance SD & FD

Featured Replies

Latin American SD = neon and fringe and big flowers and unfortunate colour combinations - no surprise they go more subdued for the LP

Muse is a good choice - automatic good blend of modern and classical without having to pay for an expensively cut musical piece or suffer a botched one

I'm wondering about that too. It was also noticeable for the GPF last year in Marseilles. Is France having trouble advertising their events to audiences? Or is the interest just not there in France right now?

I think both. Also it's in Grenoble, which is a relatively small city, if it was somewhere else maybe there would be more people.

Weren't there travel problems as well - a rail strike or something?

On the upside, they can afford to have it in a small venue like this (according to Wikipedia this arena only has ~3,700 seating capacity) and the audience can have "closer" access to the skaters.

I miss the dark, classy arena when this event was supported by Eric Bompard.

Yes, it did have a unique look then. You knew instantly you were watching TEB.
