 BABY LUTZZZ!!!! OMG! It couldn't have been any better! Well it could have been but I don't mind at all -- this is a total win in my book!

 

So...2 pops...one into a triple (what's wrong with loop? ) and one into a double...sucks that there are any pops (if he hadn't popped either he probably would've won) but at least we see jumps landed with tilt/bad landings which would've been pops if he wasn't concentrating on actively fixing the habit. Oh and a missed combination! But he still won the free skate! this is kinda like 4CC man haha  but this time I'm feeling pretty happy about it! He usually gets 2 silvers a year, so you could say.... 

 

I also rewatched Nathan and well, I didn't think it so much last year but this year his program still has a LOT of work to do to make it less obviously a bunch of jumps. because i found myself thinking "is he even going to do any spins?" and then at the end...two spins back to back and then BAM finished. i know he tried to add some interesting movements into the choreo but Rite of Spring just isn't a "pretty" song and it looks...well, odd. And arm movements and poses are pretty superficial and aren't the tiring kind of full-body choreography that Yuzu does, you know, with his blades too. They look so happy with the win though. Well Nathan just looked tired but Raf looked so happy. They know that it will REALLY really help them. And it will!

I was still on the ice practicing when Yuzu was skating so I missed the whole thing! TAT

But I'm so glad to see 4Lz arrive, safely and with positive GOEs! Okay, so it wasn't perfect, but he did fine, and the save was not as dramatic as the save he did for bby 4Lo last season. 

For some reason, during the entirety of his practices I kept on thinking he was going to land that 4Lz come hell or high water, and I was side eyeing 4S...but it was the 4T that was evil today. By the way, 4T did not play nice to Yuzu or Nate! What's with 4T today, moody eh? 

 

I'm debating watching Nate's because from the descriptions here, and the PCs scores he got, I don't think I'd like it as much as his first outing with less quads? 

 

Btw, think of the other men. Seriously- Yuzu wasn't clean, period this time. But now we know he can land a 4Lz, and he can still kick your butt even when he's not clean, against a guy with many quads. What do you have to do really, to beat him if he's a little bit cleaner? 

 

As for Yuzu being Plushy's son's idol now. That's great! Hope he becomes the next big star. *sings "It's the ciiiirccle, the circle of life" *

just wanna say I have yet to encountered a competition that is in unreasonable hours for me ... if I recall correctly. 

OMG can't believe he got 1 3 for his 4Lz! That's like the judge who gave his 4Lo a 3 at NHK last year  (but really...eyes?)

So what does it say?

Something like "Yuzuru! Olympic Season Big Victory" It doesn't have the actual verb so it's more implied for him to have a big victory this olympic season I guess.
