Must have been okayed by an adult somewhere... You don't sneak an unfolded drawing past everybody and onto a stage (or ice) like that. I pulled enough stuff when I was a kid to know that for a certainty.

It’s just a case of ‘right place right time’ like any other time, he would’ve been happy to sign anything for a cute kid. But stopping him from properly acknowledging the audience after a not ideal skate is just...not a good idea. And yeah, some adult who should know better might have had a hand in that

Or maybe Yuzu just didn't understand what the kid was trying to say? Maybe he thought it was just one of the gifts that came from the ice and the kid was just trying to hand it to him directly. 

 

Lol, anyway I hope Mama Hanyu gives him a bit of talking to about that. Don't chuck anything a cute kid hands to you back to the ice.

I tend to glare at kids in suspicion because I remember very clearly what an evil little goblin I was. Looked like an angel at that age, too. But self-centred goblin on the inside - one who knew she looked like an angel on the outside and used it with no ethics or morals.

 

I'm sure most children are not that bad but I know it's quite possible.

it's the first time he wore this costume for competition so he can always adjust it...

but apart from that it really is very beautiful and he looks beautiful in it! 

 

i think it would look less chokey if he had a split / v shape gap in front of the collar.

Well we already had the lowest LP happen, and now we had the lowest SP. I smell a pattern....

So I guess the only way forward now is up.

I am at the arena. Yuzuru will be fine. He ALWAYS messes his first GP short program anyway. Look back from Skate Canada 2013, Cup of China 2014, Skate Canada 2015, Skate Canada 2016. He messed every time and always scored around 70-80. So this is a HUGE improvement. Stay calm. He will do well in the free skate.

Yea...that's why I feel bad for the kid. He didn't know better and I think it must hurt to see Yuzu put his drawing back to the ice even if he will take it later. That adult 

 

And this is why I don't intend to become a teacher too, especially for kids, because I'm too soft.
