Can I just say how much I love the Moomin mitten?

Going ahead with an unpopular opinion here:

Jin's FS music is NOT that bad.

I am a passionate Star Wars fan, I should start off with this, so you know I'm kinda biased. Every piece of music in there, I've loved since I was little. The music per se is gorgeous, even if the cuts are forced. They could have went with a warhorse but they went with something new, something with which I think Boyang can relate to, because as far as I've seen, he likes his music. The only problem is uniting the music cuts to give an overall meaning to the program.

I'm not sure if you know this, but in music there's one thing called an Overture. It's played at the beginning of Operas or Musicals and it can be two different types of Overture: either it's a new, original piece, different from all others in the Opera/musical, or it is a mash-up of all the main musical themes in the Opera/Musical. So, actually, musical mash-ups from the same opera IS a thing in classical music. The only problem being, the cuts aren't usually so abrupt as one or two I've heard in Jin's program.

It's not easy to skate to a music like Jin's this year, because the musical cuts interrupt your flow of emotion and direct you somewhere else. But if Jin will be able to lead the music himself, it will work. I believe in his interpretative creativity, so I know he will manage to do it.

As far as I'm concerned, I like his Free program more than Shoma's, as of now. Because Jin gave me a more concrete idea of what he feels towards the skate and the music. Shoma has a lot to learn from Boyang, imo.

Did they change the schedule at some point or was the downloadable calendar wrong? I thought the ladies didn't start until like an hour from now :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:
