Loved Rika's program the most. I am not a fan of la Strada in general, but her skating was so smooth and her jumps were nice...even with the missed 3A... which is far more impressive to me than the 4s attempt in Australia (although that was pretty grand as well!!!).  It is so nice to see a skater at the top (meaning Rika) who isn't from Eteri's factory.  To me, they are almost the same these days, although Panenkova isn't quite like the winners of the first two competitions. It's all spins and footwork, then unleash the tano/rippon triples in the second half. Getting tired of it.

The recipe for success works wonders, why change it. 

I wish Gleichenhaus had given Dasha a better program - she needs something strong and athletic. She's not particularly lyrical and soft.... 

Yes, it is a great recipe and garners points... and others haven't caught up yet, so keep going with what works. It's just getting boring.

I'm looking at the next events for Sept. Looks like all of them will be at odd hours for me lol

You can tell an Eteri student a mile away, right? Even their step sequences and transitions are similar now. When more of Eteri's juniors hit senior, people might not be thinking how great Evgenia is anymore because they can all do what she does.

Which sorta makes me happy there aren't many men copying a Yuzu recipe for success. Just imagine how dreadful that would be!
