May 5, 20179 yr From what I got, he's apparently going to visit an old friend (a musical piece) for the SP. He says it won't be the exact same music but only re-using part of it. The LP is also a Spanish piece but not a traditional piece. He says they have chosen a very famous character so people can recognize what he's doing what he is skating about.

May 5, 20179 yr I am betting on don quixote, but then again, john curry's version is quite iconic (it is like doing bolero, you WILL be compared to torvill and dean). I think zorro would fit his character more but I doubt that is what he means?

I think too it's going to be Don Quijote, with Man of La Mancha as a big possibility, though it's not exactly Spanish (it was composed and written by Americans and later translated into other languages).

(I know, but Zorro made for a great joke lol) But he did not say traditional Spanish music, but character, so Don Quixote qualifies. The original character is spanish xD I wonder what he will recycle for SP, it seems like it could be music he used for a previous free, since he said he'd be revisiting an old friend by taking part of the music.
May 5, 20179 yr Smart choice for Javi! He had such a big succes with Malaguenia, the choreo was so in character, why not a long program about a spanish personage. Who better than Javi to pull this music of. Is like Yuzu with Japanesse music. I'm sure that we're gonna see something great!! :s_yes
