  1. Saitama 2014 EX ESP ita commentary ^^ http://www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x4m6ub_elechicca_wc2014-saitama/1#video=x4lyfig [Angelo talks about pairs and says how one chinese pair will be among top contenders for the Olympic gold medal] M: And speaking of an Olympic gold medalist, Yuzuru Hanyu. A: From a pair who is bound to r****, to someone who might dominate the field for many years to come, considering his age. M: 4 accomplishments during the season: complete supremacy at the GPF, victory at the national championships, held in this rink, winner of the Olympic title, and as a topping, a world title in his own country. It was impossible, to do better. Finally! A: And do you remember this one? M: For me this is the most beautiful of Hanyu’s free programs. Let’s watch this in reverent silence. [after the EX] A: Simply amazing. M: Well, we have to go back to this program, skated in Nice in 2012. With this program, with a sublime performance, Yuzuru managed to win the bronze medal [literal: this program skated in a sublime way allowed Yuzuru to win the bronze medal], behind Daisuke Takahashi, and for the first time in history we saw two japanese men on the podium. That was the start of Yuzuru Hanyu’s true story, because that program is remembered by everyone; it moved us to tears, it gave us goosebumps, truthfully it was even better than this year’s FP. A: Yes, yes, I agree. The only thing I need to say is that sometimes I still go back to rewatch it, and it still touches me to this day, just as it did then. I still have clear in my mind Yuzuru’s bewildered expression after he reached the end of it, with so much determination, while everybody stood to applaud him obviously…and after a couple of seconds he started crying, just as he realised that he had skated an exceptional program. In fact a sensational score soon followed, a score that allowed him to complete his comeback and make it to the podium. M: Yes, he was seventh after the short program, quite far behind from third place. A: Yes, truly amazing. I have to be honest, I still have goosebumps thinking about it now. M: But talking about Yuzuru Hanyu’s signature programs, there’s another, one that he has skated excellently in the last two years. Maybe he hasn’t skated it so well at this WC, but still. A: One of the few times though. And this is the short program he used in the last two seasons: Parisienne Walkways, a short program that allowed him to break world record after world record. [after PW] M: Well, Mao Asada gave us a lot during her long career…it’s difficult to tell who’s the true main character of these world championships, between her and Hanyu. Let’s put them on the same level, they’re two aces, fantastic. A: yes, aboslutely. True, Hanyu did not manage to do his best in the short program, but it was followed by a textbook free. And anyway, this short program at the Olympics reached an amazing score, let’s not forget, over 100 points. Something that we could have not even imagined until a couple of years ago. Continues here (x) I translated the first 30 seconds, because I found them quite…interesting. M: And the next goal is to reach 300 points. A: Total score. M: Yes, exactly. And he can truly reach it, because in the short program he has already gone over 100, in the free he has already achieved more than 100 of TES and he can easily reach 95 points of PCS. If we put it all together, and he skates a perfect free, we’re well over 300. A: Incredible. He’s truly a skater from another planet.
  2. I don't know il someone has already posted it, but here https://mobile.twitter.com/goldenboots125/status/868879073560281088/video/1 there's a short clip of Yuna Shiraiwa trying 3A in harness. Can't see the landing, but happy to see that she's well :3
  3. Apparently the SP will be "modern"...Debussy is a safe choice for her, yep.
  4. Carolina Kostner will recycle an old FS music, Afternoon of a faun, by Debussy :)
  5. Ok it helps. A bit. I just hope it won't be a warhorse. I mean, no Malagueña or Carmen please? /.\ Massimo you betrayed me there XD I honestly don't know who could do it. Yes Satoko could be second at NHK but that's it if she's back on track and if she's perfect etc etc so a lot of ifs. At SA she has very little chance to win, they'll try to bury her alive. And with some ladies turning senior, and all of them with tons of potential, making it to the final will be no joke. On one hand I'm really excited for the upcoming ladies, but this is suicide from the JSF c.c
  6. It has improved so much *w* much more height than the one she did at jgp, and rotation and speed are O.O It's good that she grew a bit and the jump improved instead of becoming worse, sounds promising for the future.

  8. Exactly. If you look at her scores she was pretty much robbed on pcs at nationals. The last national championships were actually pretty unfair to all the younger girls. Marin got lower PCS than Kanako I think? And that's...
  9. It seems like flamenco or tango from that photo, I really have problems with that kind of music. But I'm just waiting for Joey to pop up and squeal :PPP like, guys they invited Evgenia to NHK, i mean. Nothing else to say XD
  10. Apparently Massimo Scali choreographed Wakaba's SP :) http://higuchi-wakaba.tumblr.com/post/161131402391/massimo-scali-has-choreographed-a-new-sp-for#notes Seems like I'll hate the music xD
  11. Io personalmente non sono contenta di rivivere un secondo anno olimpico come 2013-2014, mi sembra un passo indietro...ma se almeno mi mette il 4lz nel Free posso conviverci...
  12. Yes Wakaba has tons of talent there. It would seem wise to push her. But it seems pretty obvious they decided to throw them all in the tank and see who will come out of it.
  13. Yes exactly. Satoko also seems to have reached her peak scores. I mean she is consistent and all, but she reached 215-218 when the panel was pretty generous. Wakaba and Mai have more room for growth imho. And Mai is quite consistent. And the one who will reach the final has many chances to win a spot for the olympics. Especially if they score nationals like last year tbh. Idk JSF is always puzzling.
  14. That might pretty much backfire tbh. Let's be honest, Japanese ladies aren't really consistent, Mai and Satoko aside, and they're not really used to the sink or swim environment like the Russian ladies, so all this pressure might do more bad than good. They'll have to be in peak condition all season and I'm not really sure that's going to work for them. Honestly, I get that Satoko is their n.1 but I'm even more puzzled because they never treated her as such, and to do so now when they actually have alternatives is pretty confusing.
  15. I agree. About Satoko having easier events I mean. I really don't get why Marin/Wakaba/Mai all at COC it's simply stupid. Give that assignment to Kaori or Yuna S, the former TdF and and NHK were better. Switch one with Yuna at NHK or Kaori at SA, and would have been already much better.
