  1. LP is still not announced, there is still a chance for RnJ 3.0 and boobskirt 2.0
  2. I wonder if he will perform this in later stops too. We probably would see more changes. Might see changes once it is skated in bigger, olympic-size rinks too. Seems like the small size of the rink restricted him and he has to change some of his pattern there. We will see
  3. I have, it's beautiful. :) I just saw it today, both version where he popped the Loop and where he was foot-perfect. I love his chopin since 2014, so I don't think I have many complaints haha. The latter part still feel a teeny bit emptier but I heard that this is the unfinished/unpolished version yet, so I am sure once it is polished it will be a masterpiece (again). In addition, I personally think it is smart to upgrade his BV without having to go way outside of his comfort zone.
  4. Hi hi fay! Good to be back! Just as expected, days in Yuzuru forum is like light-years because I missed out on so many things already haha. Glad that Yuzuru seems healthy :) I can't wait for the LP announcement, whatever that might be
  5. I missed out on so many things! But yeah the important things... GP assignment and Chopin
  6. Sequence Combo must takeoff with the same landing edges (cleanly) otherwise not counted, some of Yuzuru's combo were also not counted because some strict tech panel consider he slip from his edges when landing etc Also, the tweet above, what he landed was 4T+3A seq not 3A4T. It is still impressive. But Yuzuru is more of an edge-jumper, what you would see from him is likely -lo-4S combo rather than a -4T combo. Beside, after his lysfranc injury, even if he is able to do this, I don't want him to attempt that, like ever.
  7. He'd likely won't do that, high risk low reward imo. It is easier to do quad separately, and he has yet to perform even a 5-quad program actually cleanly (he 2-footed his 3F landing at Nats; 4CC, worlds WTT is even more of a mess imo). That said, 4 is a piece of cake for him by now and probably 5-6 is more on the higher limit one. I'd argue 4 is commonplace for Yuzu too by now, he landed 4 from 4CC to WTT, it is just that his tendency to pop things hurt his score (Aside of the 4S issue).
  8. Anyway, though this is brought up by an english site that covers japanese entertainment, I don't think we should take on what several internet comments from a certain magazine/community/site (idk what girlschannel is, forgive me) as a general perception of how Yuzuru is seen/perceived there. He tops quite a lot of positive poll (including this one on the news article) and it should be a testament that he is generally well-liked, respected and admired there. Of course, he can't be liked by everybody and he would have a handful who dislike/hate him, but that's life. And since he has more who admire him and respect him compared to those who are not, I don't think it would matter.
  9. FS has started breaking free from uptight gender roles, and skaters who do not portray traditional gender-stereotype style has made it and dominated, like how Yuzuru wins and dominates the men's field this quad (thought I'd argue there are skaters long before him who display non-tranditional masculine style too); my personal favorite is how gabrielle daleman can be on the world's podium despite not having the typical feminine style and portray strength and power in her skating. That said, of course there will still be a handful of people being quite conservative about it, and they are usually the loudest.
  10. Sure can do, but that would be mid season already haha I think I can do CS and GPS with all skaters, I can't do JGP there are just too much skaters. US Classic would be a fine start
  11. Haha sure We can do CS then since usually the skaters are not too many, I don't think I can do JGP since I am not as patient as Ted Barton
  12. Cool, let's do this once the season starts haha, just for fun, nothing serious Pretty sure there will be different opinions here and there, but that's where the fun is haha Hooray! Thank you so much Fresca! Just take your time. I (and I am sure many others too) have already been so thankful for all the insight you gave from the ballet perspective, and you are good at explaining things too. Here have some virtual flowers
  13. We can be mock judges, not tech panel, the levels and UR/wrong edge would have already been called haha Unless if you disagree with the call/level of course
  14. I actually would love to participate too haha. Should we do it? Calling @Yatagarasu here, would this be suitable for knicksknacks and we discuss it there? Maybe we will do so for the top 3 or top 6 (final group) only? So that it won't be too much and we can start doing them for CS or JGP (and give short explanation on which bullet point we think they hit for GOE as well as a little elaboration on the PCS marking we gave them) If TSL can do this so are we
  15. Haha yeah :) I don't know about you but at least that is what the pet peeves was for me. As for tango, since there are many types of tango, I would say I haven't seen a good interpretation of the standard ballroom/american standard one, and the argentine version are more difficult to translate into FS imo. Though I can't speak for the other type of tangos because there are like 234887687 version of it
  16. About flamenco, I think the actual paso doble/flamenco posture is not really suitable to be applied in FS where you feel that your hip is very lifted and high (man I am bad at explaining this, so I hope you get what I meant, basically the line from torso down not torso up/upper body), so maybe that is why many feel that something is missing (as in the skater only adopt the character from torso up + hand movement). Another one is paso doble movement is kind of in a staccato count quite many of the times, so for something that is supposed to be fluid and flowing like FS, it could take away a bit of the character unless you choreograph it smartly. But I actually like mura's attempt at flamenco :3
  17. Actually, about bielmann, many ladies has stated that they experienced trouble with their back after doing it for quite a while (if I am not wrong, ashley was like that, recently, for example). For Yuzuru's case, I think if he ever feel (the start of) back problem he would immediately drop it. We can see how he is quite careful about doing bielmann or not last season. I think in the future season, we would probably see it more as a tentative variation depending on his condition. So I would not be surprised seeing less and less of it as time passes
  18. Jason's catchfoot (and variation) is lovely, while for Yuzuru, I think his camel and sit is really lovely, not just the position but also the speed (when he is on lol). When it comes to pancake spin, I think Yuzuru is one of the best if not the best , his are personally my favorite.
  19. I like Yuzuru's camel and doughnut better but for upright spin I think jason is generally better than Yuzu. I would give the sit spin to Yuzuru too. But I think when it comes to Spiral, I think overall Jason might do a better spiral than Yuzu (since i barely see Yuzu does any spiral so these are all gathered from all the spiral I have seen of him. While I sae Jason did quite a lot)
  20. Fresca, dear! Always lovely to see your insight on jump techniques and jump alignment. If it is not too much trouble for you, can you elaborate about the jump technique and jump alignment among the top 6 men (Yuzuru, Shoma, Boyang, Javier, Patrick and Nathan) at worlds (maybe on take off, air position, checkout+landing, something like that)? It would be such a wonderful insight (you can copy paste what you have written before for those you have explained), because though I can see that there is something wrong, I can't word it as well, detailed and knowledgeable as you. Thank you beforehand
  21. The mental image of this is hilarious Yuzuru, maybe -> "must... do... two quads... today... " /scratching face
  22. Who knows maybe he already developed allergy if he attempts less than two quad nowadays.
  23. Yeah, besides I think he would go to CS. So this seeding does not matter that much if that is the case. Though I doubt he would water down his tech under any circumstances if he goes to sectional. :p
