FaOI KOBE-at-a-glance
Day 1 Opening: FaOI Theme + Anri's "Cat's Eye" (easy 4T+high kick) Chopin "Ballade No. 1" (2Lo // 3A 4T3T) Encore: Prince "Let's Go Crazy" StSq, lots of flying kisses there * there were no jump battles today since they were rushed after two skaters dropped their necklaces --------------------------------------------------------- Fan report highlights (please do not repost without permission from gladi) Costumes: Cat’s Eye costume sketch by gurikonoomake1@twi who attended, fanart by norakuro008@twi from imagination, but similar was separately confirmed by attendees “Finale was the same as last year, with Fujizawa-san’s music. I hereby report that Yuzu wearing a mid-sleeved, black jacket on was too cool. Bottom was similar to the black pants and square-buckled belt of Parisienne Walkway. The lady beside me was muttering––'you can see too much of his tummy!'” (cr. bikketora@twi)   "Cat's Eye. Started from the short side, turning/spinning with the ladies (Hanyu-senshu was with Akiko-san). On the west end, he made fists and bent his wrists like “nyan!” (like a cat) and sang to “♪ tsuki akari abite” (awash in the bright moonlight)! Finally, he stood back to back with (Javi?) in the ending pose! And made a pistol with his fingers. As the lights went out, and he was exiting the stage, he confirmed the entry of the 4T. (cr. Blue_Flame_Rose@twi) “Opening was Cat’s Eye :)) Yuzu debuted a hip-shaking dance with fleeting sights of his abs (as the hem of his shirt drew up) which drew laughs and smiles from the crowd. But why did he sway his hips and turned his head so much? Is this Cat’s Eye, Yuzu-style? :)) (cr. kurakura999@twi) “Oh? [Yuzu] is performing with sexiness the level of Cat’s Eye itself? :))) Touching his face and such. During, he also did a cartwheel (?) to cheers...” (cr. to mikappa78@twi) Lovely fanart of nyan! pose and ending pose by by hidetanmama@twi!    Chopin: “Great cheers greeted Hanyu-kun before he came out ✨✨” (cr. yt_yh_love@twi) “In the dark before the start, he practiced the the Loop from spread eagle, quad? triple?” “In the actual performance, it was 2Lo, 3A, and at/after 4T3T, quite unusually he came to a stop quite abruptly for a few seconds. That was good too." (cr. imoimo_gu@twi)  “Perhaps he didn’t generate enough speed from the last two steps, so he simply popped [the 4Lo]” (cr. bibi@weibo)   Yuzu's speech: “How he started the MC session today was funny too. Because the audio system was on the other short side, the staff had brought the mic over to the stage side, on a stand. He was next to the stage sending each skater off to the backstage, high fiving with many of them. After the last skater went in, he made to return to backstage as well––and then came out again, super naturally [as if nothing had happened] picked up the mic to start MC time… I can’t quite describe that expression. Cute, love you! (cr. bibi@weibo) “The mic had a cord today, so he held the mic with his right hand, and the cord with his left. YH: Although few people will be going back today–– Audience: ??????? YH: 'People who are staying the night, please rest well’ ‘Those driving and so forth, please take care’ (we received his consideration :)) At some point during, he also said ‘Aahh–––so tired’ :))" (cr. aqua_ice_@twi) “First day of FaOI Kobe just ended. Hanyu-san made binoculars with his hands to say he can even see the seats that are too far and invisible from the stage! Although due to the limited time, there was no jump battle, after he expressed his gratitude to the audience, staff, and artists, he threw air kisses while going “pyon~” (jumping up) with his whole body. Fresh news from Yuzu ?!

Just learnt a couple of minutes ago that Yuzu went and

worshipped at Yuzuruha Shrine today( 4.6.2017 ) !

As for his messages as seen on the two "Ema" presented to

the Shrine, please refer as follows:

1:  Hoping that I can perform to the best of my ability

at any game. I hope at least I can be the light to be

able to show the way to anyone who needs my encouragement.

2:  Hoping that everyone's support as well as thoughts

for my successes will be fulfilled.

Booo I'll miss the live reports this weekend

LOL

Johnny's back in Japan.

I had a dream, more nightmare last night that someone tweeted that Yuzu will only be doing the group number in Kobe. What is my brain

Stuff of nightmares  Although it would be worse for those who actually went there and bought the ticket.

Come on Kobe, give us a new photo or two, there's a nice city. *grabby hands*

Tomorrow, maybe, right? Must happen tomorrow. First show is on Friday so something must surface tomorrow.

I wonder if they'll have new costumes, different from Makuhari ones?

I can't wait to see Yuzu performing again. And I'm excited for some skaters that were not in Makuhari, but are joining the FaOI line-up for the Kobe shows, especially Papadakis/Cizeron and Mai Mihara.

Also,I NEED some new Yuzu behind the scenes/practice pics/footage asap.

I'm still thinking how somewhere in this world there's unreleased footage of Yuzu's 'perfect 4lz' from Makuhari practice.

Praying every night that he'll feel confident/playful enough to have a go at it during the quad battles at the end of the Show
