July 29, 20179 yr @yuzuangel re Jason Brown I do indeed- thank you for posting it. Isn't it elegant? Look and learn Fernandez and Chan
July 29, 20179 yr [x] the colours, the sparkle, the sheer sleeve, the simpleness of the velvet trousers
July 29, 20179 yr That Papadakis blue top, tho... I think it was dubbed broken blue condom that season... But I get the point about the colour coordination. I like the Shibs FS costumes last season. Simple but elegant.

August 7, 20179 yr So I just looked up the ISU regulations for costumes: According to current ISU regulations, costumes in competition "must be modest, dignified and appropriate for athletic competition – not garish or theatrical in design." [x] I may have lol'd a lot. Can we pretty please have a worst costumes thread?

[x] Ahahaaha really? Is it just a general rule or can the judges in particular cases really say something about the costumes?

August 7, 20179 yr Patrick Chan is the founding member of the Boring Costume Fraternity- can you even call that thing a 'costume'?

He doesn't really care about it. When he was asked about his new FS costume last season he told the journalist that he should have asked his costume designer about it.
August 7, 20179 yr Well that would explain a lot - though how any self respecting 'costume designer' could admit to producing that is beyond me. I at least thought it was Chans input that made it so dull, but if he doesn't care it's all down to the 'designer'. Depressing.

Music cuts, layout, esp costumes!!
August 14, 20179 yr I've been watching some Satton programs and I love the details in her hair in her Planets costume - it really makes the outfit something a little special. I also usually dislike flowing sleeves but I like the variation she wore in some of the exhibition (?) skates ; _ ;
