October 29, 20223 yr Information: One can rewatch the whole stream on Dailymotion😁 I really would like to know where Kao suddenly popped up from.....he is so nice to watch, can't believe I have never noticed him before skate america last week. He was better last week though. Love the crowds loud sheers when greeting the second group. @rockstaryuzu you didn't mention he is not only wearing sparkles, but it's also a purple shirt! Camden: why doesn't his 2T count? It was still a jump.....if I ignore the jumps, it was a nice skate, felt the emotion. Deniss: and again, why does his 2S not count? Was there a change in rules for popped jumps? The program looks good on him, all these small details. Hope he will get his jumps steady. Keegan: outch, that first fall looked horrible. Ok, there must have been a change in rules, otherwise he would have made a combo out of the third jump. It was such a Keegan performance, fun and full of energy. He will certainly be missed when retiring. Oh, second child on the way. Congrats💜🥳😊 Shoma: like his program and for a first competition it certainly wasn't bad. His skating is just enjoyable for me to watch. Huh, Stefan not waiting at the boards?..... And what the heck is that point difference to Kao? Did I miss something? That gap is too öarge in my opinion. Site note: Spoiler So glad that Kaori is not competing here, I had a really horrible dream about her skate, would feel anxious the whole day otherwise.

I haven't seen a second of Skate Canada yet, and now I certainly don't regret having spent that time otherwise. What y'all are posting here about Kao's scores has filled me with dread. It does sound like JSF has indeed picked the third skater for its Top 3. Which, based on their conduct so far, means all others are sc***ed, other than Koshiro. Major sigh. I want a fair competition, not a predetermined one, and I don't care if it's Kao, Koshiro or a favorite of mine that gets propped up with fails ignored.

Kao was in juniors at the same time as Shun and Yuma. I remember watching him on JGP the same year Shun won JGPF. But he didn’t do nearly as well as they did. I thought at the time that his skating had really wild energy that he couldn’t control, and if he could manage to control it, he’d be quite the competitor. He was also the Junior JNats champion last year and placed 4th at Senior JNats (so he competed against Yuzu). Also the bronze medalist at 4CC earlier this year and was at Fantasy on Ice. So he’s been around for awhile lol. (He’s also a Yuzu fanboy lol.) Interesting re: Shoma. I actually thought his score was too high. Kao’s 4S3T is huge, like spans half the rink, and also correct takeoff and clean landing, so I thought it should have scored better than +1. 4T was weird, he landed it, and then put his foot down. Meanwhile, Shoma missed his combo, and landing on 3A was wonky - ice marking right in front of me very clear that the landing wasn’t clean. So I actually would have scored him closer to Matteo. Although to be fair, I have not read the new PCS rules.

Will be nice to see how he can improve and develope his skill even more in the future. 2 hours ago, Chitsuki said: Interesting re: Shoma. I actually thought his score was too high. But also, jump errors in the short are costly and Shoma wasn't at his best for sure. Will be interesting to see what happens later. On that note: I will probably watch later, but very likely miss the first three to four hours of the stream.
October 29, 20223 yr Rika was just wonderful honestly I am in tears, and Brian was so lovely with her
October 29, 20223 yr Wow Rinka fantastic with a great 3A too! Japanese women have gorgeous SS... tho did she get same PCS as Rika?? I hope not... EDIT she DID get same (ish) PCS - the linking of TES to PCS continues unabated...
