In any case, I was just watching Wakaba skate to the Lion King soundtrack and, for some reason, I find myself tearing up a little. I don't know if it's just the music, but I really want to see her skate this clean one day. I think it would be amazing

Perhaps I'm just finding it a bit hard to view Shoma as a sort of cool, mature person (...surrounded by girls...) when I see him as a kid still (not his fault, it's just my perception). Especially when he's skating to a song with these lyrics:

I tend to feel more like patting him on the head, Yuzu-style, than see him skate with this kind of choreo, but that's just me 

Finally watched it, it was so surreal to see LGC after so many years and at such a tiny rink, it's a pity it couldn't be full size, sigh. But still a treat

 

Also, there were moments, especially in that ending part, where Yuzu actually looked like 26-year old man, wow

idk whether the rink was smaller, maybe we should rewatch LGC encore in FaOI2017 to see if it gave the same feeling there.

Here it felt to me like he he kept hitting the brake and not goo too wide with his steps LOL

and while he was going for 3A I was seriously worrying because he usually covers a whole diagonal with steps before launching into it at whole speed... poor zusaa was a lil bit sacrificed too

Well, that's the price to have LGC back...

tbh I was also a bit at the very trite concept "boy and his harem" --  well, FaOI has its share of corny programs, and also girls-with-boys numbers -- but SOI really loves portraying this kind of stuff, and in a very in your face way, plus the more rigid genre division: boys being boys, in simple white&black, girls being girls in pink and sparkles... Unfortunately, those are things I don't particularly like

there was that thing about what Shoma had said he thought of girls a while ago, so in the back of my mind I was also cringing a bit at him of all people doing that type of program. I'm assuming he's actually grown past those ideas.

and yet, the way he was so not really into it made the whole thing funny

not that the ladies were particularly more into into either (maybe thankfully, tbh). IMO the better performer was definitely Wakaba, then Kaori, but I think we're past the need for this type of programs

yes and no.  Most men's bodies still continue to grow and change throughout their 20s and hit maximum fitness in the 28-30 year old range.

THIS. His expression in the last pose was so funny to me for this reason. He looked like a kid who has just been coerced to do something he really didn't want to  (Sorry, Shooms, I do like you, but not in this kind of number )
