Thank you, and now I'm  embarassed. Didn't realize I was the author of my own troubles on this one! 😳

It might indeed have been a glitch, don’t worry. Please let the admins know if it keeps happening!

@rockstaryuzu oh my gosh yes it's my article!! i just wrote it for my figure skating column on my university's news website. wow i didn't expect it to reach the planet! thank y'all so much for the kind words! i meant it when i said i've always struggled to find the "right" words to describe Yuzu and what he does... he just has that je ne sais quoi and i can't really grasp it... when writing this story, i just told myself to write exactly how i felt while watching the livestream... i didn't win the lottery to physically be at Tokyo Dome on the 26th, but i'm so happy and grateful that i can still be in this all by watching the livestream and writing an article that expresses how i felt (and maybe just a slim possibility of conveying how Yuzu felt? hehe). he has such a beautiful mind that just fascinates (and tbh sometimes puzzles lol) me... wow still kinda can't believe all the comments i've received. truly grateful for every word!

I read your article yesterday 😊Deep in my mind, I was kind of knowing the authoress must be a fanyu to be able to write it so beautifully🥰Congratulations Valerie👏👏👏

I want Notte Stellata merch so badly. I'm a sucker for subtle/minimalist designs, so I want to get everything that just says "notte stellata" and nothing more. I hope they also ship internationally, but I haven't even received my Prologue goods yet, so to be honest, not sure if I want to go through this ordeal again even if they do...

From the day-after interview with asahi.com: “I was able to create a new genre of entertainment in figure skating called 'Yuzuru Hanyu'. I honestly wonder how I can evolve it from now on."

YESSSSSSS! It's so good to hear him claim his achievement. We are witnessing the birth of a new art form, because he set out, with absolute deliberation, to create a new art form. This is what I envisioned him doing once he turned pro, but I couldn't have imagined that he would do it so resoundingly, so quickly.

TBH, I'm with him in having a hard time knowing how he can evolve it from here, but history tells us that he always finds a way.

GOAT of GOATs!!!

The key to evolving is to have visions and a strong will to grow. I am very happy that Yuzu is the type of person who always sees room for improvement and is willing to invest a lot to achieve that. With that mindset and attitude he will come very far. This was true for his competitive career, and I'm sure, he will experience great development as a professional, too.

Now that I have watched GIFT multiple times, I noticed that he realized many of our suggestions from the #Challenge4Yuzu initiative. He performed an extended arabesque spiral, a Biellmann spin, he skated a new program to Joe Hisaishi's music, and he even realized the idea of "cinematic figure skating" with the big screen and projection mapping. The background design for POTO was almost the same as the picture that I had selected for my post back then - with the noble ballroom and the big chandelier. I was over the moon to see that idea realized :tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw:

Footnote: I wish that he finds a good balance between his workload and time for recovery, physically and mentally, too. What he has accomplished the last months is superhuman. Preparing GIFT alone must have been a mammoth task, and then he still took the time to prepare and skate a 6-minute long program with five quads, two step sequences and a hydroblading that goes against the laws of physics.

Just gathering & jotting down some thoughts on past few pages of posts here

On Next Big Thing : not happening for decades(prob centuries)

Even if a deserving equivalent candidate exists - he/she will always be a version 2.0

Can't be the first to do a task twice

The next to do it is 2nd by default

And it's scary as hell to follow your own mind - "to boldly go where no-one has gone before"

Even if some mythical YHv2.0 surpasses him ability-wise, he can never claim THAT credit

About evolving: the great thing about certain gifted perceptive individuals is that they don't do all the thinking themselves

They crowd-source ideas and apply them where they deem appropriate (which is often different from the way they were imagined by their author)

So, after the initial formally guided phase, it has now become a self-sustaining collective thought cycle - the Fanyu side(incl Collaborators) feeds it by expressing their 'wishes' & maintains by warmly recieving the finished 'spectacle'; also attrition is compensated by recruitment

He doesn't need to know EXACTLY NOW how to evolve further

Coz he will in the very near future

I am quite confident of this

🙏🙏🙏

I really did!  And I rewatched it - oh, several times more than the rest tbh.  Seen a lot of the others since 2015/16, but not Phantom.:665e343793b9:
