According to the Miyagi Prefectural and Sendai Municipal governments, the festivities will kick off at 1:15 p.m. with a ceremony to present Hanyu with a prefectural citizen's honor decoration and other awards.     Actually I think Yuzuru's calculation is correct. Cos at OG, Yuzuru's SP score was 111, around 7 pts ahead of Shoma. Even if Shoma landed the 4L, those additional pts wouldnt have been enough.

    Let's see, Shoma would have gotten back the 4 pts from from the GOE, 1 pt deduction for the fall, lets say he gets 1.5 extra from +ve GOE. 6.5 pts more. Not enough
    Plus the usual GOE and PCS is always below Yuzuru.


    At 2017 Worlds, Yuzuru's SP was only 95 so he needed an excellent score in LP which he did do.

    I really, really don't understand that art. It doesn't capture any of his flow or movement or grace. I'm not sure what the point of it is.
