Hmmm.. In a Battle Royale type scenario I think Yuzu would win hands down.. boy's got killer instincts. I'd say Yuzu>Patrick>Javi>Nathan>Boyang>Shoma. There's no particular reason just my gut feeling. haha...

In a build shelter and survive the elements type scenario he's not gonna last. hahaha.. I'd say... Javi>Everyone else. But.. you'd never know. Yuzu can be very competitive. He's intuitive and seems like a quick learner as well.

Yeah, Yuzu will be the serial killer that no one suspects. I mean, he is so mediagenic and capable of hiding his thoughts if he wants to.

Patrick, well, he is fierce enough. If it's smth that requires deception, he'll die though. Too honest and fires his mouth too easily sometimes.

Javi. He will win at deception style survival games cos he appears so nice. But yes, independence is what he is good at and he can survive very well alone.

Nathan has no chill, but he lacks depth and experience.

Boyang is the smiling dude that suddenly launches a high level move that no one expects.

Shoma looks fierce, but is actually a lost child whose energy depletes really fast...

If it is a battle royal kind of game, he will be the first killed.. Any of the others will know they need to get rid of him if they want a chance at winning, so they will all go after him first

OH RIGHT. Hmm but what if it's like manga, in which no one knows the others...he will stand a chance with his angelic face.

hmm as someone who specialises in psychology, Shoma screams everything but innocent to me but I can be off too at times. Also, idk who would win but boyang will probably be killed first as the fun and cheerful guy. Yuzu would be analysing and carefully planning how to survive, while gaining the favour of people around him at the same time. Shoma will be plotting some sort of ambush. Javi will check out who he can ally with. Nathan will act on impulse/do whatever he feels like doing. Patrick will be going around trying to gather a following. haha I'm just saying nonsense based on my subjective opinion but damn feels like I could make a story since all the core character types are gathered.

True, Boyang is the happy go lucky one. Javi will use his socialising powers.

Shoma has nerves of steel. Yuzu also said so himself.

I'm in favour of writing a hilarious crackfic on this though. Either survival game style, or the 6 playing a game of Resistance or Coup

Guys, I have a silly question to ask but I really want to know from pre-Sochi era fanyu......How do you guys survive olympic season....

Sorry for off topic....

I think it's different cos last time there were hopes he might win, but I wasn't too concerned because he was still young and it was to be his first Olys. Men usu peak at 23-25 I think? He also didnt have any major titles to his name until he won GPF right before Olys. Only comfort was that it was held in Russia and not Canada, so PCS was less predictable. There was also a gap between (Patrick and Yuzu), and the (rest of the field).

But this time, the judges have made the gap smaller between Yuzu and the rest, and with the US hyping Nathan and Javi and Patrick being a strong threat should they skate well (actually all are threats, evident from 2017 Worlds), Yuzu has less room for errors because a big mistake could mean that he will be off podium. We don't know what will happen actually, since we don't know how the feds and judges will act on the day itself. And don't forget the pressure is huge. He will enter the season as reigning and defending Olys champ, reigning World champ, reigning GPF champ for 4th consecutive time, current world no.1 and the holder of all 3 WRs.

I have a suspicion that judges might try to allow for a WR if any of them do well because it increases hype and media coverage and ppl do like seeing records being broken at Olys. It just feels more badass.

We won't know if he'll be the reigning GPF champion until december :)

And it's funny you didn't mention SHoma and Boyang as a threat too :)

He won GPF 4 times, and I was referring to him entering the season. Also, I think you quoted an earlier ver of my post. I kept editing it lol.

Now that I had a chance to think about it more, between the top six Boyang would win the survival game. He is always underestimated and people tend to forget about his abilities, so they will be focusing on each other and he will strike from behind :ninja:

Yuzu will probably be the only one taking him seriously, but he loves Boyang's jumps so much he will not be able to harm him, so he loses as well :4chsmu1:

Why am I imagining a quad battle as I am typing this

I suggest you enjoy the offseason first, a few more days to FAOI! We won't know his assignments until some time later (24th/25th Jun)
