Crazy! Maybe Yuzuru confiscated all the journalists' poohs from their home and asked them kindly not to share any videos of his Lutz until he will debut it at ACI or NHK :tongueyuzu:

ACI please, so that I can witness history :sadPooh:. Quick check on luggage, smelling salt , defibrillator, box of tissue...

Nevermind, found it. Boyang's best 4Lz3T was from his Worlds 2017 SP, in which he got +2 GOE for a total of 19.90. Nathan's at 4CC got 2.43 GOE for a total of 20.33.

And I'll have to agree, now that I see both in quick succession. I think Nathan transitioned better to the 3T but Boyang's distance and height on the 4Lz were so much better! They both had an average extension on exit. I'd give the edge to Boyang's based on these two best scored attempts. But it's different competitions, so it's a moot point.

Aaaah I love this program so much! Boyang's jumps are a thing of beauty, and his character too. He's got a lot to improve in terms of whole body movements, especially the upper body, imo. I feel he's too stiff most of the time.

(also, am I the only one that gets annoyed when the commentators say that no one can beat his technical score... when in reality the technical score record doesn't belong to him and certainly isn't 57 points?)

This is becoming a bit OT but continuing the 4Lz3T talk, I actually think Nathan's combo at GPF (also 19.90 total score) was better than at 4CC, though he got better scoring in the latter.

Might've also been momentum. He's been skating clean from that point and even if you don't count Nationals, his quadpalooza FS was big news and really hyped up. But with judging who knows.. LOL...

Yeah, he was riding that GPF/Nationals momentum. And 4CC judging was *interesting*..... I mean, let's not talk about the Mexican judge or the turnaround of the Canadian judge who disliked Yuzu's SP but gave him some of the highest scores for his FS. :rofl:Politics, what can you do?

Edit: My main issue with 4CC judging wasn't even related to Yuzu but the fact judges decided the difference between Nathan and Patrick Chan's SS was 0.25 points. :headdesk:

especially when there's a very significant difference in his pcs compared with the rest of the top 6!

granted, i KNOW that boyang's got a lot to work on in terms of skating skills, etc., but his PCS shouldn't be so low (especially for the spidey performance at worlds!)

it was a clean performance with great audience interaction and enjoyment!  i thought he deserved at least 100 for it but i'm not a judge so...  *sigh*

I wouldn't say that Boyang is underscored as much as I would say that other people are overscored and so it looks like he gets a different treatment. A little bit like Yuzuru.

Following this logic, the closest skater to become Yuzuru's dignified heir is Boyang!  Same unfair treatment from the judges.
