Wintek
Ok, Mr. Nobuhide Abe has my full attention, support, and part of my savings if he can make another Yuzu documentary (or more) capturing his pro era. For those who are new or don't recall specific names. Mr. Abe was behind "Another Stories," a documentary on Yuzuru’s back-to-back Olympic gold medals, with interviews with Dick Button, Plushenko and Javier Fernandez. Link to comment

Thank you both for all the translations you drop there. It makes it so easy to find and read everything. I really appreciate all your hard work. ❤️ Link to comment

yuzurujenn
Photographer Nobuaki Tanaka gave a talk yesterday and shared over 500 photos of Yuzu (some unreleased). Here are some cute snippets of what he mentioned about Yuzu: Spoiler Source: https://weibo.com/6473801248/PErwO737K 🌟 While shooting The First Skate, Tanaka felt that he had seen Haru-chan so many times that he didn't even realize how special she was anymore, until he noticed a young photographer looking at his own photo and giggling foolishly. Tanaka asked, "Are you okay?" The guy replied, “This is my first time photographing Hanyu! And it’s Haru yo Koi too!!” Even while going down the stairs, he kept staring at the screen. Tanaka had to warn him: “Stop looking! You’ll get hurt!” But the guy just kept staring, lol. 🌟 All the photographers in their row were on a higher tier, and during Yuzu’s arena walk-through, Tanaka thought: “He looked into my lens!” But the photographer next to him said: “Nope, he was looking at mine!” 🌟 In the first photo (P1), Tanaka said Yuzu seemed to be looking at him but was also mouthing something like, “Where’s Noto-san~” (He never confirmed with Yuzu what he was actually saying, but that's what the lip movements looked like.) Tanaka admitted to feeling a bit jealous! 💬 Q: What's the secret to capturing cute shots of Yuzu? Tanaka: Just think he’s cute. 💬 Q: Why doesn’t Tanaka shoot those high-fashion-style Yuzu shots? Tanaka said he just can’t do those kinds of shoots. He once declined a studio calendar shoot offer. Since he’s originally a professional sports photographer, studio shoots should be left to other pros. Otherwise, he feels like he’d be letting Yuzu down. 🌟 Before Echoes, Tanaka bought an insanely expensive Sony α9Ⅲ, with a laser that can shoot straight lines even in dark environments, no light streaks even on big screens. Perfect for shooting Yuzu in low light. As soon as he heard Yuzu was going to perform, he went all in and bought it. Otherwise, he never would have! 🌟 When shooting ice shows, photographers get to watch full dress rehearsals, but Yuzu doesn’t always wear all the costumes or perform every program during rehearsal. So, many costumes are seen for the first time during the actual performance. The moment they see it, their hearts panic: “Ahhh it’s that color?! That’s so hard to shoot, ahhh!!” 🌟 When shooting Echoes, media photographers are only allowed 5 photos in total. So usually, they'd prioritize shots of costumes not seen before. Luckily, Tanaka isn't a media photographer but an official photographer. He took 10,000 photos in just one day of Echoes, with 3,000 of them just from the encore+MC, because Yuzu was just too cute! 🌟 “Yuzuru Hanyu” really is a great name. Just thinking about it keeps me up at night. 🌟 When photographing Yuzu warming up, Tanaka said he doesn’t even dare breathe. He’s afraid to even swallow, in case it makes noise. Thankfully, cameras now have silent shutters. What a lifesaver. 🌟 Recently, Tanaka was going through ten years' worth of “kuroko” (black outfit/black rehearsal clothes) photos of Yuzu. He’s planning to release a 10-year "kuroko" photo album this year. Currently in the planning phase, debating whether to make it 128 or 144 pages. Link to comment

Thank you so much💕 Link to comment
SuzyQ
I didn't notice Yuzu has commented on the video of "Medalist" last month, with 99 replies (surely the max number of replies ) Sorry, if someone has already posted about this. So, I am now back to "Bow and Arrow" featuring Yuzu again (I can't remember how many times I have watched this) I love Yonezu-san's lyrics as well as the music itself. The videos released on his site have English subtitles as well (as far as I read, they are not automatic translation) As for Bow and Arrow, it's strange but I always feel Yuzuru Hanyu with these lyrics. (1:43) "そう君の苦悩は君が自分で選んだ痛みだ そして掴んだあの煌めきも全て君のものだ Yes, the agony you bear is the pain of your choice And the brilliance you've attained is all yours" Now I'm a belated Yonezu fan, thanks to Bow and Arrow, and If Yuzuru is thinking to use game music for his show again, I really want him to use the ending theme of Final Fantasy XVI, "Moongazing."
